Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed six nights at Palazzo Ridolfi (Suite Royal). The accommodation was perfect for us - spacious, comfortable and safe. The staff team were excellent and provided a very professional, friendly and helpful service, ensuring our stay was as enjoyable as possible. The location of the hotel is ideal, being in the Oltrarno district, as it is in easy walking distance of all the main attractions, but also provides a sanctuary to come home to after the daily sightseeing. Highly recommended.

Palazzo Ridolfi all I can say is thank you! My girlfriend (now fiancé) and I started out or trip in Rome and being our first time in Italy was left disappointed however upon our much anticipated arrival to Florence we were blown away by the beauty of the city. We arrived by train and within a 12 minute walk we arrived at Palazzo Ridolfi. We were greated by large wooden door that lead into an open courtyard and an elevator that looks like it is from the 1920s. Do not let this rustic theme fool you once in the elevator you are carried up to the third floor and through the door to reception like a portal you arrive at a bright welcoming lobby. Our room was not yet ready upon arrival (we arrived before check in time) however we were able to store our bags, complete the check in process and gather all the necessary information about the area from a very helpful receptionist Inga. We went out to explore the city a bit more while we waited for the room and to say the location is perfect is an understatement to your left is the authentic Italian back streets with beautiful food and small shops and to the right with a three minute walk you are greeted by stores such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Prada and so so much more. All the main tourist attractions are also with a max of fifteen minutes from the Plazzo. Within thirty minutes we got a call to say the room was ready and we came back to the Plazzo. We booked the Ridolfi Suite. Most hotel photos can be deceiving but the suite looked exactly the way we see it on the website and large open plan suite with six meter high walls and an original fresco on the roof that we discovered from talking to staff was once covered over and rediscovered during renovations. If looking for recommendations speak to the staff all the girls are so unbelievably friendly and if you are like me and speak no Italian their english is absolutely fantastic. Inga went above and beyond helping me pick the perfect restaurant called La Logga to dine at before popping the big question to my girlfriend. She was extremely patient giving me numerous options and advice from personal experience in each option. This really settled the nerves for me. Upon arriving back to the hotel Avida, one of the staff members had been in and flipped the room around a complete shock to both me and my fiancé. A bottle of Prosecco along with candles, hand writing congratulations note and a rose petal heart on the bed awaited us. We both immediately went out to thank the staff for their generosity and Avida seemed more excited than my fiancé about the proposal which added to her own excitement. The breakfast was perfect. The coffee amazing and the staff, well staff have created a stay we will never ever forget!! The little things go a massive way in the hospitality industry and the Plazzo Ridolfi is doing everything to perfection. Would not dream of staying anywhere else when we return. I have been a manager in three of Irelands top five, 5 star hotels and can say this with full confidence the Plazzo Ridolfi will not disappoint you. Thank you again to all the amazing staff!!

We were here for my wife's birthday and it was one of the best places we've ever stayed at. The welcome was amazing and very friendly by all reception staff, who were warm and caring. The suite we stayed in had huge wow-factor when we walked in. The pictures on TripAdvisor are realistic to what you get; a majestic room in a historically significant building. They brought a bottle of sparkling wine to the room on my wife's birthday as a surprise which was lovely. If staying in Florence this place is amazing, I would love to return.

Our 3 night stay at the Palazzo Ridolfi was beyond exceptional. The minute we arrived we were greeted on the street to gather our lounge(which was a lot) and they even carried it all up for us and parked our car in a very safe garage. Once we arrived in the office the ladies were beyond cheerful and helpful. Whatever we need they were helping us whether it was places to tour, to places to eat...and did not disappoint. Thank you for one of the most romantic places we stayed and the A+ hospitality.

Our 5 day stay at Palazzo Ridolfi was exceptional, and made even better by the attentive and courteous Evita who was always available to answer questions, recommend restaurants, call for taxis, make sure we had ample water for the extreme summer heat of July.. All with a smile! The room, a standard, was well appointed. Breakfast more than adequate for a small hotel, we never felt rushed , enjoyed the pastries, cheeses, cold cuts , coffees. Location! This area near San Spirito is perfect, nice and quiet, near Pitti Palace, the Ponte Vecchio bridge. and several outstanding restaurants (try Osteria del Pavone recommended by Evita) , and a short dash to the Santo Spirito bridge leading to the many historical sites. Look forward to another stay…maybe in cooler weather! Thanks again Evita and staff.

If you are looking for the best location in Firenze, for the the comfort of a beautiful room and outstanding service, Palazzo Ridolfi is your place. It is a few minutes’ walk from the river and the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge and all of Firenze attractions. The room was spacious, very comfortable and sparkling clean. Breakfast: delicious. (Do not miss the view from the dining room). Above all, the service by Evita, Inga and Alessio who were most professional, attentive, knowledgeable and responded to all our needs and requests with good will and a big, big smile. If this is what you are looking for while in Firenze, than stay at the Palazzo Ridolfi.

Not recommended place, old building, at breakfast you are checked on what you eat, little variety of food, the only good thing is the proximity to the center, a man at the reception, in front of the breakfast room, was very rude, he looked at what my husband and I ate to check on us.

Response from Ridolfi Palace, Altro at Palazzo Ridolfi - Residenza d'Epoca
Responded 4 Jun 2022
Dear Jasmine R e Marco D (that you are the same person), It is really sad to read completely falsified reviews of people who didn’t even stay in our hotel, but to the one who works for the competition and is trying to downgrade the effort of all our staff in such a sneaky way, you must know that we only feel sorry for you. We sincerely hope that Tripadvisor will remove this falsehood, as soon as possible, and take serious action to get to scammers who are hiding behind the keyboard because the rat who slanders honest and hard-working companies needs to be fined and punished, to prevent future violations. Now, we want to pass this message to our clients and other companies, who have a similar business like us, to be careful and report immediately to the fraught department if you will receive such reviews from Mr. Marco D or Jasmine M. For two days they have been using fake profiles to leave bad reviews: one in English and one in Italian, where he writes ridiculous things saying that our "old building needs renovation" and that at breakfast the staff watched what they ate; in the one in Italian, he also writes about problems with phone service and wi-fi ... I just want to remind everyone that we have a beautiful historic building completely renovated 2 years ago, our staff always presented to provide service and satisfy customer needs while breakfast and not to check what people eat and that what Mr. Marco D or Jasmine M writes only tends to defame our job as most likely he works for a competitor in our area. We look forward to the reviews being removed soon. Palazzo Ridolfi Staff

We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Ridolfi as a family group of 10. The staff were so helpful (and booked us some amazing tables for dinner) and friendly. We felt lime we were being welcomed into a home. Rooms well porportioned (we had 4 very different rooms) and we appreciated the historical significance of the gorgeous building. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making everything perfect for our first family reunion in over 2 years!
