Residenza della Signoria is a gem! The absolute BEST location in Florence, across from Perche No? (BEST gelato!) and down the block from Pizzeria Toto (BEST pizza!) and literally wedged between the Academia/Uffizi and the Duomo. Rooms are clean and well equipped and staff are friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful place to stay. The location was absolutely perfect. Within walking distance to all the major "hot spots". The rooms were large, beautiful, well kept and the staff made checkin and checkout a breeze. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to friends and family.

We spent 2 nights here.It was right in the middle of the city, about two minutes' alk from the duomo. Our windows opened out over a busy street, which gave us hours of free entertainment, yet when we closed the windows(which we could do as there was airconditioning) the room was very quiet. It was a large and comfortable room, with a...

This place was excellent! The location was perfect (2mins walk from the Duomo) and the staff very friendly. The place is very clean and very spacious for the price. Everything is new and really the only criticism I can think of is that there is not someone physically on the reception desk 24 hours a day (which didnt bother us...

Thanks for the excellent review. I have to clarify that the reception open 24/7 is a service offered by 3 stars (or more) hotels only so it is not to be expected in a B&B, where prices are at least 30% lower than in hotels in the same area, offering similar room quality and amenities, with 24/7 reception. This is...

Very clean and well appointed property, with a location that can not be beat. Fantastic value for money in a city which can be expensive. I found Andrea to be very helpful. I wish I could have found a property like this in each of the places I visited in Italy.

The Resdienza dell Signoria is the best value we've found in Firenze. The location is essentially right in the middle of the city. Any thing you'd like to see is within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The staff was very helpful and gave us tips on what to see and also called to reserve tickets for the Ufizzi museum...

I stayed here for 3 nights during a tour of Italy. I couldn't believe the location of this b&b, it was like having your own little apartment in the centre of Florence. Staff are friendly and unobtrusive, location is between the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio, breakfast in cafe next door was really good for €3.50, very good ice cream shop...

We were a family of 7 on a 25 day vacation in Italy and this was the best Hotel/Residenza we stayed in the entire vacation. Our group had young kids, Grandma, teenage kids and mom and dad and everyone loved it. We stayed in high end hotels that cost much more and there location and comfort did not match the...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
