Similar to the June 2019 review, the hotel’s (male) staff was rude and quick to make excuses for his hotel. Despite booking via booking.com with aircon selected on the search filter the room had no aircon, the (male) staff told us their was no aircon throughout the hotel whilst checking us into our room. When entering the room the floor tiles were cracked, the floor rug was very dirty and the ceiling fan was pushing the warm air around at a slow rate, a fan which only had one speed. The window could only be opened partially making breathing in the room very difficult on a hot day. We had to check out after a couple of hours and forfeit our reservation fee, again the staff tried to defend the situation concerning no AC. Interestingly despite telling me earlier when checking in that the hotel had no AC he mentioned AC was available in the penthouse and maybe that’s why the search filter still selected his hotel noting AC. Lesson learnt, check AC is listed on the reservation page before agreeing via the agents website. Despite the lack of AC the hotel was run down, dirty and the (male) staff was very rude. You can see this from the hotels previous response to the June 2019 review blaming the customer whilst defending what is a poor hotel in great need of refurbishment.…
Towels changed after 2 days only limited toiletries No fridge just a fan l A bus stop close by limited breakfast items 15 mins walk to the main metro station You reach the place and you want to enter you press the bell which you can’t hear so u press again and upon reaching the reception you are been shouted on saying press the bell once, how do I know whether the bell rang or not This was the 3 hotel I stayed in during my trip and with such a behavior it was very annoying Have some courtesy the people are paying for the stay and not staying in for free
The reception staff friendl, helpful and gracious hospitality. Specially Elisa at the reception who was very gracious to us. Also Patrizia who was helpful. I recommend it and will come again.Location is great as it’s a walking distance to the main station, Santa MariaNovella.
NIce room, the owner was very friendly, made us very welcome. A little distance from the centre but walkable. There is plenty of public transport nearby and a few restaurants on the street. Would have no hesitation staying there again.
We came with a very large group (21 people) and the staff was amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience in Florence. If you're looking for restaurant recommendations, ask the staff! They were able to get us reservations at two really great restaurants. The rooms were simple, spacious, clean, and comfortable. It's not a luxury hotel, but it was perfect for our needs and you can't beat the price. It is about a 30 minute walk to the city center, but it's also located a mere 2 minute walk from a bus stop (line 22) that takes you directly into the city. We used the bus every day and so the distance wasn't an issue for us.
