The typical Tuscan villa which dates back to the 17th century was the home of the famous poet Antonio Guadagnoli. Now completely restored and transformed into a countryside Relais, it is part of the prestigious chain Relais & Châteaux, which exuberates the art of hospitality. In the restaurant, in the kitchen, at the reception, dedicated to taking care of the needs of our guests ,we are proud to offer everyday our availability and our specialties, improving them continuously. The art of refining quality is achieved by caring about details that make a difference. An ideal setting for those who love the beauty of the countryside, the atmosphere of the Relais is quaint with characteristic old-fashioned Tuscan charm. The twenty-two rooms are elegantly furnished-each unique in color and décor and reflecting the classic, refined style of important Tuscan homes. A few rooms are in the antique villa, some attached to the villa’s chapel and others in the cottage. All share the view of the magical landscape of the Cortonese countryside and are fully furbished with every modern comfort.La THESAN ETRUSCAN SPA has the goal of reawakening all of your senses through the harmony of the environment and the flavours and tastes of Tuscany. The Etruscan Thesan Spa guides you to discover the true relaxation, with a unique and unrepeatable involving all five senses. A wellness Trail where the two basic elements - water and heat - are skilfully combined with lights, sounds and colours therapeutic to optimize the relaxation. Exclusive for Officina Profumo Santa Maria Novella of Florence. Behind each of our actions is the desire to spark an unforgettable emotion: a recipe with delicate and persistent aromas, a special and rare decoration, the vistas leaving you breathless and astonished, the warm welcome that makes you feel as though you belong.. all of this will take you to the primordial feelings of pleasure. Staying with us will leave you with everlasting memories. The restaurant is on two floors with a glass and wrought-iron conservatory, overlooking the outside dining terrace with its ancient fishpond and rose-clad pergola. The cooking, which is personally supervised by Silvia, with the help of the head Chef Richard Titi, has succeeded in creating new temptations, using original and traditional recipes to create a marvelous cuisineaccompanied by great wines. “Il Falconiere” is situated in a quiet, elevated, rural location amid vineyards and olive groves. It enjoys enviable views of the Val di Chiana to the west, and Cortona, the ancient Etruscan hill town just three kilometers to the south. The Relais is ideally located for short trips to some of the most famous art cities of central Italy, such as Arezzo, Perugia, Siena, Florence and Assisi, all within in an hour’s drive away.

The Relais II Falconiere was the absolute highlight of our trip, which involved a 1 week round trip to various parts of Umbria. It was our penultimate stop and we had stayed in Spoleto and Assisi prior to arriving. From the moment we arrived to the second we were leaving, we felt like valued and spoiled guests. The tranquillity of the location and all parts of the the Relais were just what were needed to relax in a world that seemed miles away from everything going on right now! The wine tour was great fun, the food was exceptional and the facilities couldn't be faulted. We had an exceptional time and would happily go back again to indulge further with activities like the cooking course available! Truly exceptional and well worth a visit!

We stayed five nights in Il Falconiere in October 2020 and it was lovely. The WhatsApp concierge is amazing and works really well with the set-up of the hotel. The cheese cooking course with Silvia was a real highlight and all the food in the restaurant was delicious. We will definitely b coming back.

My mother and I stayed here for multiple weekends a year ago.. it was a fairy-tale stay on both occasions... a paradise of a structure, wonderful hospitality, a beautiful pool, and the owners who could not have been more friendly, pleasant, and welcoming. Silvia had a tasting evening and when she spoke to us we felt like the only people in her world at the moment...such nice memories. A special special thanks to Elisa at the reception, who catered to our every request big and small. She helped us on many occasions when we needed above-and-beyond assistance; several special moments are due to her professionalism and care. Grazie Il Falcioniere!

we went here to have dinner at starred restaurant during a weekend. Place ins in tuscanian country, with a lot of fields and trees around. Staff is very gentle Plus care for small (useful) details: USB outlet to charge you iPhone in wall and at the sides of bed local winery. (and products are remarkable) site is beautiful and cared very clean and very recently setup (bath, furniture, painting seem new) Pool in the middle of garden and a lot of fruti trees Landscape on Tuscania is great. details to work on: - as many starred in Milan, better to use QRCode to show Menus and Breakfast at entrance. - crew is young and smart, but should get more "stylish" for a top resort. - wifi is a bit "raw" uses and old insecure protocol and login should work simple (for example via QRcode or user/pass) TOP: Apple Pass (wallet) to login!
