The place is a traditional house with beautiful wood furniture. It is about 5km to Cortona and the same to Trasimeno lake, which worth a visit by its own. Rooms are quiet, breakfast is superb with lots of good food. It is adviceable by all means not last the kindness and professionalism of the lady owner.
Gabri is a wonderful host very intent on ensuring her guests have an enjoyable stay. Breakfasts are healthy, ample, and delicious. Because the B&B is located on very busy Highway SR71, Gabri will provide rides to anyplace nearby that you might like to go. She and her husband picked us up from, and returned us to, the train station (free shuttle). Gabri has a huge heart and you might want to adopt her as your mom. As for our room, it wasn’t the Hilton but nice enough. Bed was comfy. Private bathroom with shower. No Kleenex (facial tissue) or amenities provided, so remember your soap and shampoo. For relaxing, there is a balcony porch on 3rd floor overlooking the valley, or enjoy the lovely garden area where Gabri grows many fresh fruits and vegetables, and there are comfortable sitting areas inside on 1st floor. If we ever return to the area again, we’d surely consider another booking with Gabri! Bonus: she’s easy to communicate with on WhatsApp! Tip: For dinner, the Bar del Riccio is a 3 minute walk down the road. Go after 7pm to enjoy their full menu. Beer, wine, beverages are available for sale (take-away or dine-in). Heads up: Many shops and stores in Terontola are closed afternoons.…
We have been staying at B&B Gabri for 12 years. She loves what she does and it is evident in the amazing and extravagant breakfast she prepares with the fresh fruit and vegetables from their garden, the genuine care in the success of your trip, and the recommendations she gives for trips in and around Cortona and Tuscany. She graciously drives guest to and from the train station, makes dinner reservations and accommodates special requests were able. She and her husband, Mauricio, take great pride in their home and garden. He is a woodworker and craftsman and his amazing work is evident through out their beautifully restored house. Their garden is a nice place of refuge where you can sit and admire the beautiful plants and countryside. When we first arrived 12 years ago she spoke little English and we spoke basically no Italian, and her patience to communicate was endless. Now she speaks English very well and is just as patient with us trying to speak Italian. We have never made a trip to the region and not stayed here. I cannot recommend her enough. …
We started staying here 13 years ago and always recommend to our friends. Gabri is fantastic, she makes a huge breakfast for you fresh from her garden. She will always recommend day trips and help you plan your trip if needed. She will make you dinner reservations if requested. She also provides transportation to and from the train station. Her husband is a craftsman and makes beautiful furniture there at the B&B. She speaks English as well.
this B and B is run by Gabri. It is dog friendly and she was kind enough to let us leave the dogs in the room while we nipped into town. It is a typical old Italian farmhouse with heaps of character, you do have your own bathroom but it is across the corridor, which was not an issue. Breakfast was feast of freshly baked brioche bread, forcaccia and muffins. All made by Gabri that morning, this lady can bake, what is left she puts into bags for the journey ahead. Nothing us too much trouble and she has a wealth of knowledge about the area
