We booked a rock infinity suite which was spacious and amazing—it had a dining area and kitchenette, couch, and a very large balcony with an outdoor shower. The views of Mt Etna and the sea were breath-taking. The included breakfast had a very wide variety of high quality food and great service. The pool also overlooked the sea and served excellent drinks and lunch. It was easy to walk to the main part of town.

Wow! What an amazing experience we had at Hotel Belvedere. The hotel is centrally located just minutes walk to the town center and 5 minute walk to the funivia. Upscale hotel, excellent service, amazing pool and oh the views! Be sure to reserve a room with a view overlooking the water with views of Isola Bella and Naxos. Don't worry, if you don't have a room with a view, you can't miss the amazing views overlooking the water at the pool or at breakfast. The essence of La Dolce Vita! The pool! Excellent lunch at pool and a great way to end your day with an aperitivo after a long day at beach or sightseeing. The breakfast! Simply amazing. You are minutes from stairs heading down to Isola Bella and minutes from the Funivia for your trip back up. Be sure to do the walk down. They also provide transportation to a beach club away from busy Isola Bella. The hotel provides valet parking for a nominal fee. The service is outstanding! Joshua at the front desk was always there to help with restaurant recommendations and reservations (be sure to take his advice!), beach club reservations, Mt Etna assistance, etc. He was truly kind and helpful. And special acknowledgment goes to Grazia! While the entire staff was kind and helpful, Grazia was especially warm and genuine. She made you feel like family and always welcomed you with a warm smile. We had to give her a big hug when we said goodbye! We stayed 2 weeks in Sicily at many great locations, but Hotel Belvedere stands out as the best of the best. Thank you to the entire staff for a great experience!

Sitting on our spacious balcony overlooking the Mediterranean, enjoying a refreshing glass of Mt. Etna vino bianco, I am inspired to sing the praises of this elegant yet incredibly hospitable hotel. The decor is refined without being pretentious. Each of the staff is warm and helpful. Our suite, room 21, has a spectacular view and separate his/hers bathrooms. The staff works very hard making sure dinner reset are secured. Our only lament, and it is only an issue for an hour in the morning, is proximity to the breakfast dining room. On the upside, we can stumble out of bed and walk but a few feet for coffee. On the downside, we are late sleepers so people arriving for 8 am breakfast was somewhat annoying. Otherwise, this is a spectacular hotel. The location is also noteworthy as it’s a tad out of the tourist area - amen! We will stay here again without reservation!

Response from Albergo Villa Belvedere, Proprietario at Hotel Villa Belvedere

Dear Guests, Thank you for a lovely review about your recent holiday at Villa Belvedere. All your very kind comments about the hotel itself with its traditional (but not dated), décor, and our courteously friendly  staff, are much appreciated. For the simply spectacular views that we are lucky enough to have all round us, we can of course, take no credit,  but every day, their beauty inspires us too,  to render our very best, for all our guests. As you say, it’s a “tad out of the tourist area”, and in fact, we are just far enough away, to be able to return here, after  an enjoyable evening out, in town, with all the holidaymakers' excitement  and the various attractive venues there, or even after a busy day sightseeing,  and relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquility offered at basically, only a five minute walk away from the pedestrian, but still busy, town center. We shall have to give some thought to the eight o’clock breakfast question, but it gives us great pleasure to read that in spite of this potential problem, you would like to return. You will of course be very welcome,  and we will certainly find a very comfortable and very pleasant room for you, where you will be able to enjoy a quiet lie-in, every morning, whenever you would like to, although, with our airport level. soundproof windows closed, no outside noise should penetrate. At least, I hope that this time, you will have been somewhat consoled, by the coffee  - and tea - making  facilities that are provided in all our accommodation and that you could enjoy an early cup of coffee or tea, without leaving the room. We very much look forward to hearing from you again, in the not too distant future.    Kindest regards, Cristian Pècaut, Manager.

If this hotel were in Positano, it would cost three times the price. This hotel is the same luxury and services without the five star cost. I would have to commend the staff there, Maria, Elena and so many more who, if I had not been rushing in and out to go somewhere should have taken down there names. The lovely and accommodating people moving our car, giving us advice at the front desk, cleaning our room and serving us in the breakfast room, all I can say is that kindness is lacking in the world right now and these people have restored our faith. It must get tiring dealing with the myriad of personalities coming through the doors, but they never seem bothered. The breakfast buffet is an assortment of beautifully crafted cakes, souffles, ripe fruit and lovely coffees. Also, there are nice notes around the building about wearing masks, we are fully vaccinated and it was not a problem to adhere to this. That said, there were some others who did not and I suspect that the staff didn't want to continue to remind them to do so...but respectfully, let us all enjoy Italy and keep everyone safe. These lovely people deserve it.

Dear Guests, The very much appreciated, and  very kind comments in your revue about the holiday you spent recently at Villa Belvedere, together with the full number of Trip Advisor “points” that you award to us, on every count, are very encouraging indeed and give us all great pleasure. Thank you too, for mentioning among our staff, Maria and Elena, who together with all their colleagues, are invaluable to the wellbeing of this over a century old hotel, that remains young in spirit, and where discreet improvements have been carried out over the years, so as to bring us in line with the most demanding modern guest, while maintaining the relaxed, comfortable ambience of the  early 1920s when Villa Belvedere came into being. We are of course, very proud of the rather generous breakfasts we serve, that you enjoyed and describe, among other quite delightful features of the hotel, but your lovely mention of the kindness and true politeness that you noticed abounding here as you say, is equally as important and reflects the feeling of our all working well together for the same goal, that is that our guests should really enjoy staying here. Thank you again for your time and please stay well as we very much hope to have the pleasure of a visit from you again in the not too distant future. Kindest regards, Cristian Pècaut, Manager
