A Family hotel where you can enjoy going back in time with all the wonderful things hotel could offer in the past. It is still owned by the first family who built it. Everything is well taken care of . Extremely cleaned . Loved it

This hotel is located right on the beach which was perfect for relaxing on the beach. Bring water shoes as this beach is very rocky and hard to walk on in bare feet. The hotel was very clean but was in need of some renovating and updating. Old furniture is probably part of its charm but makes it look worn. Loud air conditioning kept me up at night. The included breakfast was adequate, but the coffee machine broke down all the time. We were a group of 8 adults and the staff set up a van service to take us into town each night. Friendly staff which was helpful to our needs. We went on a boat ride tour which was great and was arranged by the beach staff. There are beach umbrellas for shade which was a very welcome amenity. We had lunch at the restaurant one day and it was very good. This hotel can be so much more if they just did some renovating.

This hotel could be a gem . It is kept very clean and It's location on the beach is perfect. The room wa large and our balcony was a plus. The main level has an outdoor patio with water views where breakfast and dining are held. The beach attendants are attentive and will arrange a fantastic boat trip of the coastline for a reasonable fee. But it is dire need of updating. Charming it is not...it is old. The bathroom is dark, small and when you sit on the toilet your feet are in the tiny shower stall. Breakfast is minimal and the coffee machines broke down each of the four days we were there. Yes it could be a gem.

Perfect location right by the sea below Taormina. Friendly reception check-in and personal transfer to our room - a good size, clean with a large balcony with a perfect sea view (across to Italy in the very distance!). The Hotel has its own private beach with sunbeds, umbrellas, towels and life guards. A large terrace area offered a breakfast spread with plenty of fruit, pastries and both hot & cold items. Very good evening menu with excellent waiting service from Raymond, Francesco, Ignazio and colleagues - the manager Giuseppe even gave us a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. Well done. Reception organised a quick taxi service up to Taormina centre to save a climb!

We loved this hotel! Old world charm, large rooms on the sea front (we slept with the doors open and listened to the waves every night). Beautiful terrace for drinks and meals. Dinner really is first rate and all staff friendly. Unbeatable if you want seafront during the day and old Taormina at night

We booked 4 days at this lovely place. Like in the time when I was a child, this hotel is kept in original style. A unique and beautiful experience. We had a beautiful room with balcony an great view to the beach and surrounded area. The sea is beautiful, clean and clear! The terrasse is with stunning trees a place where you have to be. Starting the day with a early morning coffee there is great. Breakfast to be honest is not my style. Coffeemachines and complete self service and every day the same choice and not the highest quality … could be improved. Also cooked but completely icecold eggs where astonishing. Beacharea is beautiful but no service there. No water, coffee or drinks can be ordered. There is a receptionist from Vienna at the reception! She is brilliant, competent and friendly! She did a great onboarding and looked after us! Solved all our topics and made our stay rememberable!

Very happy with a holiday we just had. Great customer service from greeting us on arrival to the last day. The lovely ladies at reception were very helpful and hard working while the restaurant staff were cheerful and polite. Prime location with a private beach is the highlight of the trip.

Extremely well maintained, clean hotel with excellent staff. Represented great value for beach front Taormina. The hotel has kept many original features from the 70s but is kept in immaculate condition. Food was great at lunchtime in the restaurant and the service smooth and efficient. The staff are efficient and experienced at what they do. Will definitely visit again and have recommended to others.

Greeted warmly by reception staff on arrival (half board) which was situated on the 3rd floor. and shown our room by lovely lady Mona Lisa. Room was beautiful in an oldie world way with large double bed, good AC / fridge and stunning views of the sea and coastal areas. Very peaceful in the bedroom areas. The bathroom was awkward to get into but pleasantly complete. The ladies who sorted our room daily were very helpful and room cleanliness was impeccable. Thank you to all. The restaurant was on the ground floor with beautiful tree canopy. Menu provided daily for lunch and dinner. Food was good but could have offered more variety over 10 days we stayed. However always supplied with a mixed salad on request and staff were very attentive. All meals were generally taken on the sunny terrace. Breakfast was continental in the main but could have served warm scrambled eggs and less tinned fruit. Beach was accessed by stairs from restaurant and was quite stony but shoes available (but much cheaper in town). Attendants provided chairs / sunshade and table. They could have helped better with direction into the easiest way into sea (Puglian holidays we were used to this). A boat trip was booked with beach staff for birthday but boat never arrived after ¾ hour and no explanation. Lovely little beach bar next door but only open till 6pm. Food lovely and staff fun! Transport was challenging to walk into next place (on road no path / uphill) - where you could get the Funivera to Taormina town. Taxis available E10-15) locally but public transport cheaper but unreliable and no stop very near hotel. Hop on / off bus left you quite a distance from hotel which we thought was a poor option for this tourist option. Older and disabled staff may therefore find amenities to beach and outside areas challenging There was no evening entertainment which we missed. However were able to visit sister hotel in Taormina where a lovely swimming pool and gorgeous views but limited staff available for restaurant. However managed to get served a cocktail. Many thanks to all the lovely staff, Giuseppe, hotel manager - Ignatio, Roberto, Sergio Dominic / others plus Monika at breakfast.
