The San Domenico staff are stellar! The hotel is exquisite and the service is noting short of spectacular. Truly. If you decide to go, make sure to include breakfast each morning, it's lovely. Also, ask for a photo of your room, we didn't, and were disappointed. We booked for eight days and were put in a small room over an...

Excellent history, historic property, amazing breakfast, unbeatable views, impeccable service and a Michelin star restaurant. If you are looking for a romantic getaway then it can't get better than this. Was there for a conference. The business facilities are great too.

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and the first thing i must say is how brilliant the staff are very polite professional and helpful. The hotel is a converted Monastery and is full of charm and interest with wonderful views and gardens. However some of the facilities and rooms desperately need updating. The first room we had was on the third...

An amazing property with clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast food is excellent and you can have it on the terrace overlooking the sea! Staff are very professional and helpful. Location is perfect, near all the attractions! Checkout time is at 11am, but they let us keep the room until 2pm. very grateful for that since we were traveling with our...

Absolutely gorgeous property, fantastic views. Friendly service from check in and throughout our stay. Fantastic terrace to enjoy a few drinks before dinner. Had dinner in the non-gourmet restaurant, was excellent. Reason for not giving 5 stars are the rooms. Very small and a tad run-down - they could definitely benefit from a makeover. Next time in Taormina we'd probably...

My husband and I chose San Domenico Palace as the venue for our symbolic wedding ceremony and celebration. The main reasons were that we just fell in love with the location - the hotel is perched on a cliff with amazing views on both mount Etna and the amphitheatre. It is a converted monastery, steeped in history, maintaining many of...

We were not sure about selecting this hotel since there were a couple negative reviews, but as a "Leading Hotel of the World" the reviews just didn't reflect our experiences with other hotels in this group. Now we're very glad we ignored them! We can't understand how anyone would rate this less than 5 stars: it is not a modern...

This place is truly a palace. So much history right at your finger tips. It is a great combination of a modern feel/technology mixed with historic furniture and decorations. The stores inside are expensive but you would expect nothing less. Great Ocean views from the hotel with excellent breakfast and bar service. Five star hotel but worth the cost.

We were part of a Kuoni package and this hotel did not disappoint. The reception staff were always cheerful and efficient. Our room was excellent with a balcony and the view over the cliff to the sea was impressive. The buffet breakfast was excellent and if you wanted something that was not displayed (such as fried eggs) then they would...
