I'd like to be able to give this another half star, as it is not too bad at all. Like much about Palermo it is tired and a little run down, but the staff are excellent. We were very happy with our room which was clean and well tended. Great breakfasts upstairs. The elevator music system was quite alarming as...

We stayed four nights in a one bedroom suite. On the positive, the interior rooms and hallways are beautiful. Truly magnificent. It feels like you are staying in a palace and the housekeeping staff are very professional. On the negative, the lobby area is not cohesive. It is a series of sitting rooms, albeit well appointed with a small bar...

We stayed three nights at the Grand Hotel Wagner, on a tour. This is an older palatial hotel with period furniture. There were four floors above the lobby level, with an elevator. Lighting was especially good in the room, unusual for Europe. There were only two available electrical plugs (one was in the bathroom), and the wiring may have been...

The location of this hotel is very good. You are right in the midst of the city, with easy walking to good restaurants and areas of interest. Rooms are decent size, but the air conditioning really didn't work, so it was often stuffy. We were on the street, so opening the window allowed street noise to disrupt our sleep. Shower...

Just stayed at the Grand Hotel Wagner for 2 nights in September and was not impressed. it is definitely not a 5 star property. The hotel is in a great location but its common rooms are a little shabby and the main entrance carpet is dirty and worn. Our room was small and the bathroom was tiny with a dangerous...

Hotel was okay but certainly not a great experience...We were there in early September and temps in low 90's and only rooms air conditioned...Heavy drapes and rugs so a mildew smell in hotel..A/C had to be controlled at desk so was a nuisance getting comfortable temps in room...Room on third floor ,,inside,, so no view but at least quiet,,,Breakfast was...

This is a Beautiful hotel that walks the thin line between old and modern. Yes they do have wifi BUT the password is different on each floor. Yes they do have A/C but not very powerful. The staff is very anxious to please and the location is excellent.

We enjoyed one nights stay at Grand Hotel Wagner in Palermo. We visited family friends who live nearby prior to leaving the following day on Ferry. Hotel was an historic and beautiful property. Wonderful staff and the breakfast was very nice.

Our room was on the smaller side, but clean and comfortable. This is a great hotel for one night in Palermo. It is located a couple of blocks from the main corso with great restaurants and shops. The hotel staff was fantastic and pointed us in the right direction for our short tour of the city. We enjoyed our stay.

We like it! It's a really old school place. I bet the rooms were spectacular in 1930! They have been renovated but don't come here looking for modern. Small by US standards, nice by European standards. Some rooms have parts of the wall finish that are failing. Internet is speedy, the bar is way-way overpriced (don't get a drink here)....
