Yes, the street infront of the hotel is closed so you can't drive up to the hotel. You will need to park in an underground garage about 200m away and it cost EUR15 per night. The hotel reception is located on the 2nd floor so you will need to walk up a flight of stairs (about 20?) with your luggages....

Before booking we read numerous reviews here on TripAdvisor before we booked our two nights stay at Massimo Plaza Hotel. I want to make a few clarifications - some reviews are only general whining. 1. Yes, it is quite true that the street outside the hotel, Via Maqueda, is an off street at certain times of the day. If you...

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Let start with positives: It is in a very good location in walking distance to main attractions. The staffs were so polite and friendly and welcoming. There is no buffet breakfast as such and you have only two options, sweet menu or savory menu, but the quality of the breakfast was very...

The Massimo Plaza was in a really great location for exploring Palermo. The breakfast was ok and served in room. The staff were very helpful and extremely pleasant. The sky tv was a bonus as it rained for a short while. Would stay again.

First, the road was closed to traffic in front of the hotel and when we showed the police the booking they still would not let us drive there. I had a lot of luggage and the driver had graciously park and help me carry my bags to the hotel. Not the fault of the hotel but you should know you...

Dear Guest, we are very sorry to read about your dissatisfaction since we tried our best to solve the problem straight after you told us about some ants in your room, we even offered you to change room but you refused probably because you already had other plans. What we have already told you and we want to underline is...

This is an ideal base to visit all the main tourist sites in central Palermo. It is on the square looking out on the gorgeous Opera House. It is approached from the street up a steep flight of steps. Thankfully we had some assistance with our bags. The room had a balcony - just big enough to stand and look...

My wife and I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel, AGAIN. This marked the third stay at this delightful hotel. The staff could not be any friendlier making you feel as if you were staying at your home away from home. Bravo. The breakfast is awesome and the location is even better. Shopping is just a block or two away...

The best thing about this hotel it is location: right in the middle of Palermo with all the sights, shopping, restaurants around it. The place could do with w little upgrading/updating. The bathroom smelled mouldy, the water pressure tiny. No parking - but a close by garage (€15 a day). The staff seemed to be unable to make a reservation...

We visited Massimo Plaza Hotel for the third time in five years. The hotel maintains it high service levels. Enjoyable, relaxing atmosphere; friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Well equipped rooms, good beds and excellent breakfast served at the table or in the room. Centrally located, opposite Teatro Massimo, so the designated hotel for opera lovers. Many excellent lunch and dinner...

We were unable to stay at the Massimo Plaza on the first night of our 4 night stay. We were put up in the nice but more downmarket Hotel Posta (part of the same company). We normally wouldn't really mind this but were a little bit annoyed for two reasons: 1) Various explanations were given for us not being able...
