Very artistic design and friendly environment. Close to main square therefore surrounded by shops, restaurants, bars all within walking distance. Will definitely stay at BAD when visiting Catania. Great place

Nicely located at the fish market. You are within 3 min in the City center. Rooms are very stylish and extraordinary. If you can, go for the appartement room. Great place with own terrace and kitchen.

Awesome design, nice staff, very trendsetter and interesting, but comfortable rooms. The city is very close (5 minutes walk) and the traditional fishmarket is in the hostel's street (but the rooms are pretty quite). We loved it! 😊

What an amazing and original place to stay while visiting Sicily. Best location ever, everything was walking distance...the best restaurants and the tourist attractions were less than 5 minutes walk. Alessandro is amazing and makes you feel very welcomed , always willing to help and his kindness shines throughout. There is nothing bad about this experience. Regards The Gjeli Family

We had a lovely stay here for one night whilst travelling around Sicily. Alessandro was super helpful with things to do and see and the room was just what we needed. No complaints at all! The B&B is situated extremely close to the main square and is perfect if arriving by train. Thanks Alessandro!

This was a second stay at Bad Catania. We were 4 and we have chosen the family apartment. It is a place perfectly suited for a family with teenagers, but not necessarily very young children because the apartment is on 2 levels; the room (air conditioned) and kitchen downstairs bathroom (which is small), toilet and terrace level 1. Furthermore, the...

Great place in a great location (Fish market). Very friendly and very helpful staff! The beds are super-comfy and the place is quiet at night. We slept with the window open (April). Only downside is that our room did not come with the bathroom. The bathroom was at the other end of the corridor. But we will definitely come back...

Bad is an unconventional Italian bed and breakfast. it is a a renewed old building where all the rooms and the common space have a unique beautiful design. the typical traditional Italian furniture has been renovate in an innovative way. So you are in a traditional typical Italian place but also in an international cool environment. the location is very...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Conceived like a small Boutique hotel, BAD is the first Design Bed & Breakfast in the heart of Catania. Much more than a simple b&b, it is a unique mix of hospitality and creativity, ideal for both those travelling for pleasure and for business. It unites the fascinating Catanese baroque architecture with contemporary art and design. At BAD one breathes the creativity of Giulia and Alessandro, the two owners and curators. Professionals in the World of advertising and graphic design, they have expertly created within the ample and comfortable rooms different ambiences, exhibiting psychedelic wallpapers, amazing 19th Century Sicilian artifacts, vintage furniture and works of young aspiring artists. Every room of the b&b in fact has a different mood, colour and feeling, with two or three beds, private bathroom and naturally all the comforts you would expect. BAD is in the beating heart of Catania: in a XIX century building, next to the historical fish market "la Pescheria" and within a stone's throw of the Cathedral and main monuments of the city. Furthermore BAD is only a few minutes away from the airport, the train station and the port, and just 100 meters from a bus station which connects to other main Sicilian resorts. Because BAD is more than a sleeping experience. ... more   less

“I Was in the blue room, and you know how sometimes you get many; yea, 5 star ranks on adds, fotos arrangement, a bit far fetched from what is, and so on. I was prepared, but still hoping..well that goes to show that we must remain optimistic, I was surprised that it was just how i imagined, big enough room, lovely features, chandelier, the shower was a bit tight but did the job..”
