Really enjoyed this B&B because it was located in a local's neighborhood with shops, bars and restaurants and good street life, yet close to the central historic attractions. The owners Rob & Cristina are charming, warm, friendly, easy going and helpful. Rob was like a tour guide and immediately gave us his restaurant recommendations and identified a walking tour on... Rob and Christina were charming hosts, who made us feel very much at ease in their delightfully decorated home. Our room was bright and comfortable, breakfasts delicious (especially the fresh bread). Rob and Christina organised trips for us, made a reservation for accomodation in another town- nothing was too much trouble for them. We had many interesting conversations, they seem... More

Breakfast was so delicious, especially the chocolate croissant that hubby loved very much and we liked how Rob decorated his B&B. Our room had a nice view... More

We and another couple booked ourselves in here for the first night of our stay in Sicily, on our way to the south-east corner. The location was excellent for seeing Catania, with good restaurants within a couple of minutes' walk and everything else we wanted to see within walking distance. Our hosts Rob and Cristina were very helpful. There are... More

I agree completely with all other reviews. If you are going to Catania 5 Balconi is definitely the place to stay. Rob is the best host you can hope for and goes well out of his way to help you with anything you might need. Thanks Rob for a great 3 days from Daniel and Adam in Malta.

We booked a room at 5 balconi because of the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor and we do not regrett our choice. It was as good as described. I wish that more B&B were as good as this one when it comes to making the place a unique experience, because it was an experience rather than just a stay. The elevator... More
