Stayed for one night, hotel itself is classically charming in design - nice rooms, nice terrace and reception area. Staff all very good, but not enough of them! They seem to try and run hotel with 1 or 2 people working at any one time. Also lack of air-con in our room a slight issue as it meant open windows...

The hotel is easily accessible to the city center, although it is a 10-minute walk up the hill and not in a tourist area. Still, restaurants, cafes, and mini-marts are available nearby. The vintage hotel is a step back in time to the Liberty-style period of a hundred years ago. The reception staff was incredibly helpful to us and to...

This hotel was very beautiful, has a nice lobby and elevators. However it does not have access to a computer or printer for guests to print out boarding passes for flights. I called the front desk the night before a flight and was told to email my boarding pass for them to print out. It wasn't until the next morning...

We booked this hotel as part of a last minute package deal to Sicily. The hotel was charming and service from all of the staff was fantastic. Our room was lovely with high ceilings and a balcony. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend a room over looking the courtyard. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are...

Hotel is a bit off the beaten path - not easy to find - but an oasis nevertheless. Location is a bit of a walk from the city center but the stroll is manageable. Gardens with a view of Mount Etna are an easy 5 minute walk. Property is close to the main road with plenty of shops and restaurants....

We spent the last night of our 10-day Sicily tour here, and it was perfect after many long days of touring. The rooms are spacious, with a sitting room as well as a separate bedroom. They have real showers (i.e., fully enclosed, unlike many in Europe, Italy, and Sicily), so preparing for a 26-hour travel day back home was very...

A return trip to Catania in February. Following the wonderful experience we had at the Liberty Hotel last year, we thought we save save the bother of looking for another hotel and re-book for our break. The hotel arranged the transport from the airport for us, we were welcomed back by Antonio like an old friend. Our room was large,...

Was met by Antonio at check in who insisted on showing us our room prior to taking the room. Gave us map with layout of Catania, recommended restaurants, etc. Set up tour to Etna and Taromini. $200 for my wife and I. Turned out we were the only clients and Salvo gave us a great tour. We had the standard...

Small rather ornate hotel with marble staircases, a beautiful reception area, and a small terrace, situated a few blocks walk from the main shopping street of Catania. We only stayed one night as we were leaving to catch a flight before dawn. Our room was very large, situated on the top floor and decorated with rococo murals, heavy brocade curtains,...

This hotel, in a restored palazzo, comes as a lovely surprise as you approach it from along Via San Vito, most of whose buildings have seen better days. I was warmly welcomed by staff in the impressive reception hall. Room 206 was spacious and well equipped and the Art Nouveau decor included Tiffany lampshades. The staff were most helpful in...
