We were there for 3 days and were extremely satisfied. The hotel is beautiful in a good location. The service and staff were absolutely excellent. I can recommend and we will definitely return there in the future. Congratulations to the hotel management. Gaspar
Beautiful and spacious room. Outstanding hotel staff that were very accommodating to our every need. Lobby and dining area were very nice. Typical European breakfast buffet. Hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and city center historic sites. We would stay here again.
We stayed at Hotel Liberty for one night following our arrival at the Catania Airport. Our room/suite was large and had a terrace and was decorated in luxurious albeit “old fashioned” style. Breakfast was of a high standard with cooked eggs as well as European continental breakfast items. Silvio, the hotel manager, was very helpful with respect to things to see and do in Catania. He was also a delightful person.
It is important when visiting a new place to feel comfortable and at home in your hotel. The staff here are kind, helpful, attentive and extremely professional. Before leaving for Italy I was able to communicate with them through WhatsApp so it was very smooth getting there. This is a quiet street convenient to city center but with no noise at night. Room is clean, breakfast is fresh, even when an employee was getting off work he walked me to the place I needed to go so I would not get lost. They helped me book a last minute tour, recommended restaurants, easily arranged taxis for me, and even offered custom breakfast options if their fresh and delicious Sicilian breakfast is not what you're in the mood for. They are sweet, considerate and unimposing. Stay at their hotel
Liberty Hotel is so charming - so truly Italian - so very Sicilian! We were treated as if we were travelling royalty. Everyone on the staff was gracious, kind and helpful. The hotel is immaculate. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are stunning with tile-work reminiscent of ancient Rome. The breakfast buffet is delicious with a huge display. They provided a special plate of gluten-free treats for our teenager with Celiac Disease. The breakfast room itself is elegant and there is an outdoor covered patio available in good weather. The employees are gracious and accommodating. They assisted with all arrangements, helping us select restaurants, providing us with a driver to Agrigento and back, giving us suggestions for every aspect of our vacation in Catania, especially the not to be missed Fish Market. They were very patient and explained everything clearly. We received personal, kind attention from everyone. Liberty Hotel is timeless and classical.…
We were a group of six, three couples traveling together and we stayed for five nights. We found the staff to be wonderful. They were very attentive and accommodating. My wife is an early riser. The first morning she sat in the lobby around 6:30 am waiting for the breakfast buffet to open at 7. No sooner had she sat down when one of the staff appeared and offered to get her coffee or cappuccino. She asked if they could possibly arrange a setting for six. By the time the buffet opened, they had set us up in their wonderful outside area under the arbors and did so for the next five mornings without asking. When we asked if it was possible to arrange transportation to Taormina they connected us with a driver (Mimmo or Dominick) who brought us there and waited several hours while we shopped and had dinner, then he brought us back. All for a very reasonable price. We used the same driver for other trips we added to our original itinerary. The beds are very comfortable. Rooms are spacious and clean as well as the bathrooms. They location is also within a ten minute walk to some of the best restaurants in the city. I highly recommend Liberty Hotel to anyone staying in Catania. …
My husband and I stayed here the last 4 nights of our Sicily trip. The hotel is beautiful. The location is good. Great breakfast too. However, the best part is the staff. They are so kind and helpful. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Silvio for all your help.
Located just a short walk from the city centre, the Libery Hotel is a gem. We had a beautifully decorated room with a separate living area all with painted ceilings and antique style furniture. The very helpful staff recommended excellent restaurants and also went out of their way to organise our excursion to Etna. The elegant lounge and charming outdoor garden provide the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing drink after a busy day's sightseeing. The breakfast buffet is generous with a variety of dishes to suit all tastes. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful - they clearly enjoy their work.
This is a lovely hotel hiding amongst the streets of old town Catania. It is a modernised villa but in a style of antique elegance within all rooms especially the lounge and lobby. Managed by the most helpful and pleasant staff one could ask for - nothing was too much trouble. Valentina, Silvio and Nino were always available to give expert advice and their local knowledge of Sicily. The bedrooms were high-ceilinged, with wonderous draped curtains, antique-styled furniture and mini balconies. Nothing seemed modern but it had a TV, minibar, comfortable beds, lovely mosaic -tiled bathroom with a powerful shower and all the usual toiletries, plus bathrobe and slippers ...so obviously an impressive illusion!! It was like staying in a country house with its beautiful marble staircase leading from its streetside entrance. The buffet breakfast was laid out in a quaint downstairs room and could be enjoyed within this area or in the lovely, secluded garden area nearby. Cooked hot options were available and all served by attentive and charming staff. Ideally situated on a hilly area, there is a ten minutes' walk down to the main shopping street and buildings of interest as well as the new Metro (1 euro to the main railway and bus stations). Unfortunately, many Sicilian towns suffer from a graffiti and litter problem, but do not be put off by this. Sicilian folk are very welcoming as demonstrated by all in The Liberty which was one of the main contributors to our memorable stay on the island. Highly recommended. Enjoy.…
Thank you, Silvio and Valentina for taking such good care of us during our short but memorable visit to Catania. From our late check-in onwards we felt you were attending to us and other guests to ensure the best possible experience. The restaurant you recommended was great and the last minute decision to hire a car was handled expertly. It was actually my third visit to The Liberty but the first for my friends- we couldn’t have been happier. A highlight of our visit to Sicily.
