The hotel is very well located, in terms of proximity to all that central Catania has to offer. However, it is in an area which is quite mixed: the process of urban renewal is well underway, but ladies of the night operate only 50-100 metres down the street, and not only at night, and our beautiful room looked across to...

We stayed four nights in June. Central location, near to the Via Etnea, the Piazza di Duomo and the like. Convenient to and from the airport. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. You'll see other reviews mentioning odd bathroom layouts, but frankly they're still among the best to use I've found in Europe at this price (why European...

Great Location for a short stay, as it is close to everything around. If you're lucky enough, you would find free parking spots in front of the hotel, or paid ones across the street. However the street might look a bit dodgy late in the evening. Room was clean, modern, toilet shower seemed a bit weird with the tiles dislocated,...

This Hotel is new, very modern and centrally located in downtown Catania. The architect who designed this hotel must have been high on weed. The room layouts are crazy, the shower in the bathroom is such that water is every where and to get to the toilet requires a flexible body. some in our group had wifi problems but not...

We had a pleasant two night stay at Hotel Romano House. Beautifully renovated 17th century Villa, you must speak to Giagoho who knows the history and is very passionate about the telling. We stayed in a Superior room on the first floor which had an original fresco ceiling! Don't be put off by the neighborhood, although it looks intimidating we...

It's not often that I have the pleasure of reclining in my hotel room and contemplating an elegant plaster ceiling of flowers and a bare-breasted nymph. Every comfort, helpful staff, great breakfast buffet. The immediately surrounding streets are a bit gritty (plentiful graffiti) but seem quite safe.

To be honest, our initial reaction to the Romano House was not positive. It doesn't look like much from the outside and very obvious prostitutes on the street about a block away don't make for a good first impression. However, the interior is very modern, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the air conditioning was on (unlike most of...

The hotel was modern and clean but not quite the 4 star hotel it was advertised as. No reading light in bedrooms and no towel racks in bathroom. Street noise was an issue on one night. Decor is attractive. The neighborhood was quite central But there were frequent prostitutes nearby. Not sure the area was actually unsafe but it gave...

The hotel is Italian modern in decor. My room was all white, clean - great bed. The staff is incredible - they assisted me with taxi to airport - I had to change time of departure several times - these requests were always taken care of with a smile. The breakfast was great & the barman, Antonio, was outstanding -...
