Fabulous boutique hotel. Convenient to all old town eateries, shopping & siteseeing (everything in walking distance). Our suite was very comfortable for our 3 night stay. The staff were wonderful. The breakfast was very special, with a different speciality available, as skillfully explained by Giusy, every morning. Great views of the majestic Mount Etna from the Breakfast Room and Rooftop.
Very kind people overall. We have felt welcomed at all. Especially Giusy at the breakfast was so kind and tried to fulfill all of our wishes. The Spa was small but nice. The massage was great. Also the driver of the hotel was on time and very uncomplicated.
The entire staff was friendly and extremely helpful in many little ways that made our stay memorable. The breakfast assembled by Guisy had an excellent array of choices and beautifully presented. She was very accomodating for early leaving before 8am and created a goody bag of fruits and snacks for our trip.
We enjoyed the unique character of this hotel. The location was perfect and central to the city. Gusy provided a delicious breakfast spread and catered to our coffee needs. We would definitely stay here again!
The hotel is in a perfect location to get to everything. Restraunts and a food market within a few minute walk and many historic sites. There is a beautiful view from the roof top, we enjoyed several relaxing moments there. But I have to say the staff was the most amazing part. Everyone was amazing, from walking us to room and showing us the amenities to the fantastic breakfast by Guty! We had to leave early for a Etna trip and mentioned to front desk, they offered to bring up some breakfast food the night before! Room was very clean and quiet which we greatly appreciate, seems hard to find. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Our family stayed one night, with two suites, and found the accomodations to be very modern and comfortable. Each suite had updated and modern bathrooms, plus a kitchenette area to make coffee or tea and mini fridge. The beds and linens are good quality and we slept well. We met the office manager for check in, and she discussed how things worked in our rooms. We had dinner that night at a nearby cafe and walked through the piazza Duomo, which is lovely. Parking is a bit of a challenge as you have to utilize another hotel's lot, which is a 10 minute walk. However, the parking is secured with a locked gate, and you are provided a remote key entry to access your car as needed. It some ways it had a feel of an Airbnb, as there is no staff onsite at nighttime. You can telephone if you need someone, or have questions. We did not have time to try the breakfast or spa, so no feedback on those services. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay.…
The location couldn't be more central/better really - it's a minute from the Piazza Duomo, which it literally overlooks, as well as the great local markets and associated bars and restaurants. So a really great choice when staying in the lively and civilised city of Catania. Being able to step out of the hotel and then get to a decent restaurant for lunch or to one of the vibrant bars close by is the main attraction for this hotel. The rooms too are good - mine was on the corner of the building and so had duel-aspect balconies, which was fantastic for people watching. The rooms are very modern and spacious and spotlessly clean. They're each themed according to an Italian film, mine was the Paradiso, and had everything you would need - excellent shower, comfy bed, table and chairs, TV, sink/small cooking area, plus a coffee machine. I had a good massage at the hotel spa, perfect after a long flight. Didn't have the breakfast but the room looked very nice, as too is the roof terrace, though while I was there it was so hot that I didn't use it till much later on in the evening when it had cooled down. The views from up there are excellent. The staff were really helpful and friendly - they helped in advance to book a transfer from the airport, which was there when I arrived and was very professional; as well as organising the massage. They were happy to give recommendations too. All in all I would say this is a great option for spending a few days in what is a really fun and interesting city,…
Location location location is the best thing to say about this hotel. Valentina is very pleasant. The rooms were creative, clean and comfortable. Parking however is a nuisance. Steps away from everything, beautiful centro, restaurants and early morning marketplace.
We stayed one night on the way back to the USA. Totally modern. Perfectly located by the markets, central plaza, lots of restaurants. Large rooms. Steep stairs. Pleasant service and nice roof terrace. Left too early for breakfast. Didn't try spa. Recommend.
Wonderful staff, helpful and friendly. Rooms are fun. There is a rooftop gathering spot. Location is unbeatable. Not just the Duomo, but a GREAT laundromat. We ate at local cafes and visited the Bellini gardens as well. We will certainly be back.
