My husband and I spent a week here as a birthday celebration. As gold members we were offered a free upgrade by Barbara and stayed in a wonderful suite with a huge private balcony overlooking the town!! During our stay we were extremely impressed by the standard of cleanliness and Covid awareness in the hotel . The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and the staff were so kind especially Piero, Benedetta, Sergio, Andreas and another young lady whom I did not get her name . The reception staff were very efficient in check in and departure especially Chiara and Mohammed . At the pool area there was a great guy called Antonio who looked after us for most of the week and was extremely helpful and very good at cleaning and sanitising !! We only met the other pool man called Salvatore for one day and he was lovely too. I wanted to also give a big mention about Catarina. She worked in the bar area and was absolutely lovely and very funny!! She made wonderful cocktails and we really enjoyed our nightcaps (Carlos Primo) and coffees!! We had such a relaxing stay even in these uncertain times . We felt the location was fine with a 15/20 minute walk to town for a good choice of restaurants. There are a few small restaurants/bars even closer which were very nice too. I would highly recommend this hotel and the Sardinian people are very friendly. Will definitely try to return soon !!…
Having spent a week in this hotel there is not much to complain about . Great location about 20 min walk from town centre, handy for evening dinners with a large selection of eating places. The hotel had great staff, free parking and excellent food offering. The only minus would be having chosen a queen double room with balcony and view we were disappointed to find the balcony is shared, therefore no privacy indeed the siting of the room mirror provides a perfect view into your room if the blinds are open. This is the way it’s built, needs a divider to provide a useable private balcony. We had to depart before breakfast on the last day and were provided with a carry out bag, it suited us just fine. Each morning there was a fantastic selection at breakfast time, in the evening we sometimes ate in the bar, nice and relaxed atmosphere. Thank you for looking after us and providing a safe environment in these difficult times.…
After reading the negative reviews we were a little unsure about our stay, however we found the hotel to be of the same excellent standards of other Hilton hotels. Check in was speedy and the girl on the desk was very friendly. We arrived quite late but managed to find a couple of places to eat nearby. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff serving the buffet were pleasant and helpful. The waitress in the dining room however was less so. She was not happy that guests, including us wanted to sit in the part that overlooked the beautiful pool and even asked one man to move when he had already sat down with his breakfast! All in all our one night stay which was the start of our road trip, was very good.
I stayed in this hotel from 7 to 14 September 2020. My stay was a very pleasurable and comfortable one. The room exceeded my expectations. It was very spacious with a large balcony and a lovely bathroom and comfortable clean bed. The standard of cleanliness was very high and made me feel safe in this era of Covid 19. Everything was in working order except the bath plug that was a bit fiddly to operate. I loved the towel rack radiator in the bathroom. It was a useful, extra touch. The shower was strong with powerful water pressure. On the whole, I would certainly recommend this room to anyone. A very minor complaint was that there was face soap in the bathroom but not hand soap. There should have been a few more toiletries in a hotel of this category. The staff in the hotel were absolutely delightful and very professional. They were welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. I would like to thank Caterina in the bar for her attentiveness and her ability to make me feel at home. I would also like to thank Sergio, Benedetta and Andrea for their helpfulness and courtesy. There was an older gentleman who was also very polite and helpful. The receptionists were also professional and welcoming and explained where everything was in the hotel. The food was of a high standard and I loved the freshly made ham and cheese omelettes and wonderful coffee at breakfast. I had dinner twice in the restaurant and ate the best tuna steak ever in there. The ravioli were good too. Unfortunately, breakfast was spoiled by the fact that there were too many guests in the dining at any given time. The extension breakfast room with windows overlooking the pool were often not opened until 9am to ease the bottlenecks in the main eating area. The entire restaurant should be opened well before 9am. Social distancing was not always observed by the guests as they queued for food. I know this can be difficult to enforce but markers should be placed on the floor. The swimming pool area was very clean and Antonio the lifeguard was attentive and made sure the deck chairs were disinfected each time a guest left the area. I was disappointed that the swimming pool bar did not open until 1pm. Ridiculous! It should open well before then. I ate sandwiches and pizza there several times. They were tasty but the sandwiches were served with dull, white sliced bread. Come on Sardinia! You have some of the best bread in the world so why serve second rate stuff? The area leading to the pool on the lower ground floor looks like a dungeon. It's dark and unwelcoming. It needs to be more attractive with good interior design. Finally, I thought the hotel could improve the landscaping outside the hotel perimeters. The area looks like a bomb site or rubbish dump! Not good enough! Anyway, I had a good stay on the whole and thanks to everyone on the staff for a great holiday. Enzo De Rosa…
Good hotel, well laid out with a nice bar, good menu & everything else one expects to see from a Hilton Double Tree hotel then topped off with some of the kindest & most helpful reception staff we (frequent travellers) have come across with a special thank you to 'Ciara & Marcella' (apologies if their name is spelt incorrectly) for helping me get out of a bind this September..
