unfrindly staff , shaking tables , bad pizza only looks nice but taste cheap. iam disappointed about this really nice looking place. put more and better tomato sauce and better mozarella on it, the pizza daught is good.
two nights here on the second leg of our sardinia trip. we arrived around 16:30, i think, and there was nobody there. the missus made a call and somebody arrived to let us in about twenty-five minutes later; check-in felt a bit hurried. later, after we returned from an evening out, we couldn't get back into our room, so another phone call required. in fairness, she arrived within about ten minutes and explained that we couldn't get in because we'd left a card in the power slot, so we could charge a phone; strangely it was just one of the cards that did this, and it was fine the other way around. as a positive, this was probably the nicest room we stayed in and had a small balcony.
Ordered the carbonara paccheri and my partner had the chicken burger with fries and salad. The paccheri was barely cooked - almost raw. Quite cool rather than warm / hot. The sauce was tasty but I ate 2 pieces and unable to finish meal as the pasta was far too undercooked. Had the waitress bothered to do a courtesy check on food I could’ve told her. But she didn’t come back to the table until my partner finished and asked why I hadn’t eaten mine. I told her the pasta was hard and raw, only to be told (in a patronising tone, as expected, as I’m British) that we’re “in Italy now and that is how it’s supposed to be served”. As a relative of high-end restauranteurs, I can assure you, al Dente is very different to raw. The waitress was arrogant and condescending and of course we were asked to pay the full E50 for our bill of raw pasta and frozen breaded chicken burger. The 3x Aperol spritz we drank between the two of us were good. If you just want a drink:cocktail and mediocre, “can’t be bothered” service - come here. If you expect good food and service - stay clear.…
I was assured by part time receptionist that breakfast would be available at 07.30 in the morning. Alas doors shut and no response. Left hungry. Won’t use again. Emailed requesting refund and no response.
We get to the hotel and we wait outside because the door to the entrance was locked and there was no one inside. I called the number on the website to get someone to open the door. We finally get settled in the rooms. They are a little small considering the price but comfortable and clean. The price is NOT fair. It relies on the good position and the style of the small hotel. On the website I booked on it said that they had room service but when I asked the receptionist that showed us to the rooms what time they could bring coffee up (we had an early flight) she said they didn’t offer that service. Furthermore there are no snacks or drinks at the hotel. You have to walk to an outside restaurant. I decided to see the swimming pool. It was on a sad rooftop and it was about four metres long. I take a closer look and it was full of bird excrements. We asked the receptionist when the breakfast opened and said we had an early flight. She replied that we would find the room open in the morning (the small and depressing dining area was locked behind a glass door). When we go down for breakfast we find it closed and can’t find a key to open it, therefore we tried to find an open bar but the ones the the vicinity only opened at seven. I had to look for the key and eventually found it in a draw in the empty reception desk. The croissants were stale and had been sitting there all night (maybe even for days) and to find a working coffee machine we had to open a cupboard and search the room. I can’t even say that the service was bad because there was none. We left the hotel without even seeing a receptionist or a cleaner. Very disappointed and NOT worth the price.…
