Enjoy your stay in Cagliari!
Stayed for business for a couple of nights, I know it’s only a 3 star hotel, but it really needs a renovation. Rooms have not been touched for at least 25/30 years! Really dated! This included also the bathroom in room. It’s a shame because it’s in a great location of Cagliari. The breakfast is decent.
I booked 3 rooms for the night before my wedding. 2 standard rooms and one superior room with a balcony. The pictures clearly show a balcony. I picked a balcony room for me for photos in the morning and to have better light for hair and makeup. After checking in, I looked at all of the rooms and there was no balcony. I went back to reception and they said they didn't even have balcony rooms in the hotel. I was really upset and was unable to get the morning photos that I had planned. They didn't do much to help or offer a room with more light or space. Other than not receiving what I booked it is an average hotel. the layout is weird, it is like they. took two different buildings and made it one. One elevator goes to one side and one the other, the numbers are confusing. One elevator was out of service when I was there and it wasn't accessible. Rooms are also going some changes, out of the 3 rooms none of them were similar, some had really good AC, one had a significantly nicer bathroom. For what it is, it's okay. An average Italian hotel in a very central location. It is also extremely clean.…
Location good, the room is so old, ac not working, there is no view of the street or whatsoever. The door feels like a piece of paper, there are not enough electricity outlets. A place to stay overnight, no more than that.
There was a bad smell in my room, a mix of wastewater sewer line and bad perfume of the previous client. The bed was old and curvy. The street is very touristic and Noisy. Best thing was breakfast. Staff was nice, except that they kept my passport after checking in and I was going to forget it on the day I left.
Except breakfast everything was excellent. The breakfast was good but the space for the breakfast was very small. Room was very clean, bed was very comfortable. Position was very central, in the old town, near a lot of restaurants.
everything was good. the location was perfect. the place was very clean. It is close to touristic places. The only weakness was the reception which they didn't help with anything. The reception just checked in and out, not helping with internet problems and others. In general was good.
Location is great = central and walking distance from railway station / from airport you can take train to center. Room was rummy and clean, service was good. Price was reasonable. I recommend the hotel.
Always a pleasure to stay at the Hotel Italia. Friendly, efficient staff and great location. Room I stayed in was a suitable size and comfortable for my extended business stay and included a balcony which was a bonus taking into consideration the Covid-19 restrictions at the time of my stay. Overall a five star rating for hotel Italia.
This a long establish hotel close to the centre in walking distance to the main railway station , and shops and restaurants . modern facilities , helpful staff and excellent value . Great for bikes and off road parking at the back of the hotel . Has also excellent breakfast good restaurant .
My husband and I stayed here from 7 to 11 September. The hotel is centrally located. Very clean with fresh towels each day. Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. Great bus route for the beaches. 500 metres from the station. As we were staying during COVID, I am pleased that the hotel took excellent measures in this. Masks are worn all the time in common areas, if you forget they remind you politely. Breakfast is served to you, whilst I don’t speak Italian the service was good, enough choices. The little bar attached to the hotel is great. Claudio is an excellent bar manager, extremely helpful and very very friendly. We even waited to say good bye to him on our last day because he made us feel that welcome. There are a couple of downsides to this hotel. As it’s an old building that has been converted to a hotel, if you are in the deluxe rooms there isn’t a lot of natural light. The water for the shower is tepid which is unfortunate and despite me asking a few times to see if anything could be done, I think they tried their best. If you are here for 2 nights it’s fine but for 4 it’s too much. For these reasons I would not stay here again. …
