This hotel has a great location in the heart of Cagliari. Palazzo Doglio is a place where the different worlds of hôtellerie, haute cuisine, shopping, wellness and high-end real estate come together in perfect harmony in the heart of Cagliari. A unique and home away from home that reinterprets the idea of comfort and makes it contemporary. Located near the Port, the shopping district and the city's main offices. Opposite the beautiful Basilica of San Saturnino, the oldest in the Mediterranean. Palazzo Doglio is developed around an elegant open-air indoor square with a beautiful round fountain.
We have been in Palazzo Doglio when visiting cagliari more than once and very very beautiful hotel, but the service was not good. We went to the american bar before dinner time and the staff knew we arrived they were looking at us, after a long time more than 15 MINUTES just to order two simple drinks. The waiter that took our order probably new and he was very annoyed and was not professional at all because after we waited long for our order -two spritz and water- we waited at least 10 more minutes and he gave us a small portion of chips for a spritz that is not cheap of course. Waiters staff needs a refresh for sure, sorry but not at this type of hotel level.
Beautiful hotel in an elegant area with fabulous staff and well appointed suites. From arrival to departure the service I received was so professional.. the team seem to run on anticipatory standards. Nicola checked me in and as the suite was not ready offered me coffee in the bar.. and then showed me to my suite. (Very professional checkin, warm & welcoming). The suites is luxurious, clean and well appointed with a huge bathroom & home from home toiletries. The blue designed furniture is lovely with complimentary water, coffee & tea. With such a comfortable bed!!! In the morning I called to ask about luggage storage as I had a late flight.. Kara (or Clara) .. was wonderful… she checked and called me back to inform me as a gesture & as the suite wasn’t being used that evening I could use it until later in the day. This was amazing as I was able to freshen up before my long journey home. The breakfast offering was wholesome and plentiful for fabulous coffee/pastries and a lovely, professional team. Overall.. I would recommend this hotel time & again, I will be back … this place is definitely a Leading Hotel of the World! Thank you to all your wonderful team.. they make your hotel what it is!…
This is truly a five star hotel. The service is 6 star. The hotel itself, amenities and restaurants are sensational. You do not need to leave the complex. We have stayed in quite a few “so called” five star hotels around the world, this really is. When the staff at reception wander around the restaurant to check that things are ok, that is next level. Also excellent value for money.
My wife and I started our trip to Sardinia here and had a terrific 3 night stay. As noted, the staff are wonderful - enthusiastic, friendly and professional. The hotel, with its large interior courtyard simulating a town square, is very pretty, and spotlessly clean throughout. Our Deluxe room had a zen, spa-like feel. We had a superiorl dinner at the main restaurant - outstanding service and food in a lovely setting. The hotel is located in a quiet, not particularly interesting, neighbourhood, about a 10 minute walk from the bustling Castello area. The quiet is a plus, and we chose to take taxis up the hill so that we could casually stroll down.
Top notch stay, the best of our Sardinia trip. Sadly only one night here but the professionalism, cleanliness and upscale property and rooms left us wanting more. Rooms amplle and beds extra comfy. We will be back to Sardinia and will make this a longer stay next time.
One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Beautiful settings, very comfortable rooms and extremely clean. Stylish décor, opens up onto a charming square - with two very good restaurants. Excellent breakfasts - lots of fresh fruit and juices. The restaurants are incredibly high standard - excellent service. Despite Sardinia's great restaurant offerings outside of the hotel, we ate there for lunch and dinner several times- and returned five times to the Osteria Forte for their parmigiana! One of the very few hotels that have a proper, well equipped gym (to work off the decadent lunches and dinners, also the tasty cocktails and mocktails we enjoyed). We had to extend our stay for an extra six nights to an unexpected serious illness, the staff took extra special care of us and we were looked after so well. This hotel very much deserves to be part of the Leading Hotel Group, it is a marvellous place to stay, but the staff more than anything made this a very enjoyable stay. Thank you everyone at the Palazzo Doglio!…
We booked the Palazzo Doglio directly, our room overlooked a pedestrian square. The courtyard restaurant & bar area was wonderful, we ate breakfast every day Al Fresco and dined twice in the restaurant. The menu was extensive and the food was excellent, the chefs & waiting staff were very accommodating over my wife's dietary requirements We didn't dine in any of the concession restaurants in the hotel piazza. The Palazzo Doglio, an old school has been beautifully restored The hotel staff were excellent, very helpful and knowledgeable about Sardinia. The hotel has a basement car park, which due to the congested one-way streets in Cagliari is difficult to find the entrance. Hint to the hotel management - better signage and directions on the hotel web site
We stayed at the palazzo doglio for three nights and enjoyed every bit of it. The friendly staff was very forthcoming and always there to help. We enjoyed also services like the room service and spa. Everything was excellent and we’d be gladly comming back! Thanks to everyone working there, you’re awesome :-)
I stayed a few days at Palazzo Doglio and everything was amazing. The girls at the reception were so kind, rooms were big and clean. The location it’s beautiful, in the courtyard there are restaurants and shops and position it’s convenient if you want to walk around Cagliari. I really recommend this hotel
