My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights at this lovely hotel. On arrival the team were very friendly, the check in process is as quick and efficient as I have seen. Then we come to the highlight the rooms, we stayed in the Fanny Suite and it is out of this world. Two floors spacious, artistic with a back drop of authentic old style bricks a lovely shaped staircase up to a superb bed. We have never stayed in a room with it’s own Sauna but what a treat. This is the place for you if you just want to relax for a couple of days with your own thoughts. The decor through the hotel is beautiful with the bar having some black and white photos of film stars and the garden beautifully lit up by the trees at night. I highly recommend a cocktail in the evening at 10 euros a drink they are not cheap but not as expensive as most 4 or 5 star hotels and you get some lovely nibbles to accompany them. I can certainly vouch for the sidecar being well made and enjoyable to drink. The breakfast is also amazing cooked well, generous portions with high quality ingredients (both the fruit plate and the cheese and cold meat selections are musts). There are some downsides to this hotel that will put people off, there is no lunch or dinner restaurant service and no room service so you have to go out to eat properly, there is no swimming pool and whilst the gardens are lovely there is only 2 sun beds. The location is 10 to 15 minutes walk from the port and all the bar/restaurant scene and the walk to them is downhill meaning you are walking uphill to get home. All that said the peace, tranquility, cleanliness and comfort you have when you walk through the doors means this hotel can get nothing but 5 stars from me and if you can afford to stay at the fanny suite, please do you will be wow’ed!…
We stayed for three nights - breakfast was very generous and the staff were great. Simone at reception went above and beyond to help us book restaurants and recommend day trips. We did the boat tour he suggested and it was fabulous. Recommend having a drink on the terrace in the evening. Hotel is about 15 minute walk from the centre, but that wasn’t an issue for us. Bus to the Poetto beach stops 20 meters away - it’s about 30 minute journey.
I’ve stayed at Hotel Villa Fanny on at least five occasions now and I can safely say that it is the best hotel in the city. Professional staff, stunning rooms and garden, always a comfortable nights sleep. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from all of the amazing restaurants and bars that Cagliari has to offer.
Villa Fanny is like a safe haven during these stormy days. The nice staff makes you forget the trouble. The gorgeous garden and rooms give you an opportunity to leave the trouble behind you. Villa Fanny became for us an oasis during the crisis. Giving us the chance to travel to stunning Sardinia respecting all the safety precautions. We will come back for sure.
This is a beautiful hotel in Cagliari. Set in stunning gardens with fabulous rooms. We had a terrace overlooking the gardens. Service was amazing as was the food. Highly recommend this beautiful boutique hotel. Only 10 minutes walk into the heart of Cagliari.
