A lovely hotel. The only small problem is that there is another building in front of the hotel so the view of the sea is between 2 buildings. As the weather was so good though we did not spend much time in the room and the view from the roof top pool area was much better. It was never busy by the pool and always easy to get a sunbed. The rooms are good and very clean. Breakfast was very impressive with lots of choice for meat eaters and vegetarians. The machine where you can squeeze your own fresh orange juice was very welcome! We walked to the lovely old town every evening for drinks whilst watching the sunset followed by a meal in 1 of the many restaurants. Finally a big thank you to the hotel for leaving a bottle of prosecco in the room for my husband. They obviously noticed from his passport that it was his birthday whilst we were there. Very thoughtful. …
Beautiful place, excellent location, beach front and walking distance from restaurants and the city center. The hotel was very clean, breakfast was lovely with plenty choices, from continental to English breakfast. The staff was really nice and kind, people that love the job and love to help other people. We were 5 split in 2 bedrooms and we had a lot of requests that they satisfied in to time always smiling. Provided with advises for gorgeous places around and how to reach them. Really a lovely place to stay, we had a great time there also thank you the staff.
I came to Alghero solo and wanted to stay somewhere safe, close to the old town and next to the beach. Hotel Alghero Alma was perfect and comfortable. The staff are really friendly and hospitable and I felt looked after during my stay. The pool is certainly the highlight of the hotel. I came to Alghero in October which was a great time to come in my opinion - lots of life and things going on but without the business of tourists. This meant the pool I had all to myself most days / evenings. From the pool which is situated on the rooftop you have stunning views and as it’s opposite the ocean you can see the sunset over the ocean. For a single person, the room was perfect. I had a mini bar, wardrobe, hair dryer, shower and toiletries. My room had a view of the ocean and a good size balcony. Breakfast isn’t included but as I don’t eat breakfast this didn’t bother me. If you do want breakfast this comes in at €9 per person, per day and taking a quick peak one morning the food options looked great - lots of fresh food and options for everyone. If you are well traveller and have stayed all over, just note that Sardinia is a bit more ild school and the hotels, restaurants are quite authentic and meet the standards here. For me, that was absolutely fine as it’s nice to experience different hotels in different places and the hotel really has everything you need for comfort. I am a very deep sleeper but the only thing I did notice is that you can hear pretty much everything around you. No fault of the hotel, it’s just the way the building is! The hotel is about 13 minutes from the airport, 20 minute walk to the old town (you absolutely must go here for dinner) and probably 30 seconds to the beach! If you are travelling solo I would highly recommend it here. I explored the Old Town quite late most evenings and the walk back is all on the main road opposite the beach and always full of people, I never once felt scared or worried. The hotel has a big red ‘hotel’ sign on the front so it’s easy enough to spot. In summary I’d say the views, pool, location and friendly staff make this hotel a 5 out of 5 from me. Thank you hotel Alma!…
Fab hotel very clean rooms. Nice walk into Alghero with plenty of places to eat & drink on the way. Staff very friendly & helpful. We hired a car and it fully electric so please be careful as we had trouble charging it as a lot of charging points weren’t working but we phoned hotel they managed to help us locate one. Would 100% recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel and location. Opposite the beach and not a long walk to the old town. Rooms are nice and clean and cleaned daily. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, could have been better, but it was still nice. The hotel is a bit difficult to find, we went round in the car a few times trying to find it, just look for a big red HOTEL sign and it’s there. I have two issues, one is nothing to do with the hotel, but with the other guests staying there. They would walk past your room at around 7:00, 7:30am talking so loud and making noise, waking you up when you’re trying to have a lie in. I find it inconsiderate and ignorant. My other issue is I don’t agree with the hotel charging €15 a day to park your car there, this should be free for the guests and should be a first come, first serve. It’s the first time I’ve seen/heard a hotel charge their guests for parking.…
Nice hotel, very close to the beach and at +/- 10-15 min walk to the old city center. Although rooms are clean and staff is helpful, I would not rate this hotel 4*. Beds are of poor quality and need replacement. Breakfast was ok but plain and not very special. We missed the ‘sparkling’ 4* ‘touch’.
A nice modern hotel, not too big, feels comfortable. A well cared for breakfast with fresh fruit and fresh orange juice. Well kept and cleaned rooms, nice personal. Just a ten minute walk to the city centre. Safe parking space for your car. A large enough terrace with sea view.
We stayed for a week in the Alma and had the most wonderful time. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is quite small so it has a lovely boutique feel and means sitting by the beautiful rooftop pool is always very chilled and relaxing. The breakfast is a great start to the day and because it’s served until 11am means you’re not rushing on a morning and actually meant we didn’t need a lunchtime meal so helped us budget for the holiday and treat ourselves to lovely evening meals out every night. The gym is also fantastic, for such a small hotel I wasn’t expecting it to be so good but it has everything you need for a good workout and we used it most mornings. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alma. Not only were the rooms clean and staff kind, but the breakfast bar was a family favorite. They had a variety of juices, cakes, fruits, and so much more. We miss the breakfast already. Shout out to Laura!!! The pool is beautiful and the staff is super great for recommending dinner places.
Spent 7 nights here with my wife and two boys (11 & 14 years). The breakfast was superb!! It was also served until 11 so there was no stress if we wanted to sleep late a day. Everybody in our family found their favorite food for breakfast and it kept us full until late afternoon. Fresh squeeze-it-yourself orange juice and cheese and tomato omelette was my favourite and the kids loved the various cakes and chocolate croissants. They also have a good coffee machine. The other highlight of the hotel was the big rooftop pool with an amazing view of beach and the rest of Alghero. There was always sunbeds available when we wanted to swim, normally either directly after breakfast or later in the afternoon / evening after coming back from the nice beaches around Alghero. Lastly the hotel staff were very nice, polite and helpful!! To get to the beach right across the road it takes a few minutes - so one tends to stay either at the beach or at the pool - but there is a staircase at the backside of the hotel that can be used so one does not have to go inside the hotel being wet and full of beach sand. One "hardship" was finding a parking place around the hotel - the hotel offers parking - but it was a bit too expensive (15 €/night). It would be nice if it as included in the price instead. But behind the hotel we found parking all days. The hotel location is walking distance (10-15 min) into the city center (old town) along the beach walk - and I really recommend walking even if you have a rental as finding a parking place in the city center is crazy difficult. There are lots of sellers, small food stalls, entarements for the kids etc along this walk so it's a nice stroll. I can warmly recommend this hotel!…
