Travellers' Choice
Villa Mosca is a historical residential building with sea view built in liberty style, located along the Dante's Promenade (Lungomare Dante) in the city of Alghero, surrounded by a very rich park; in an elevated position dominating the landscape the gulf of Alghero. With the very same service as a hotel's it features: courtesy kit, safe, internet and wi-fi connection, TV 32" with digital terrestrial receiver, SKY TV, fridge, air conditioning and heating system, sea view. Villa Mosca bed and breakfast is one of the most exclusive places in Alghero. The typical octagonal shape and the big windows allow a beautiful, comfortable and privacy-granting sea view on Capo Caccia's promontory, the old city and the surrounding villas, also a beautiful point to see the beautiful sunsets clearly.

Wonderful hotel, within walking distance to the historic centre of Alghero. The room was great, with everything our family needed to have a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the short walk to the pool, which had an added bonus of having a fantastic view out to sea and Alghero. Breakfast was wonderful, and we can highly recommend having dinner here as well, as it was a fantastic experience, which we didn't fully appreciate until we saw how many people came to the hotel for drinks/dinner around sun down for the amazing view/scene.

We stayed for 4 nights in the deluxe room, with a beautiful terrace and view of the sea. The room was beautifully furnished, bed very comfortable, and good quality bedding. The public areas are also very nicely presented and the chandeliers really add to the feeling of luxury. The breakfast buffet is good and serves hot and cold food. The pool is a recent addition and it is lovely place to relax. The staff were helpful and friendly and provided us with some good restaurant recommendations. I would definitely stay here again if we return to Alghero.

I have been there on half August with couple of friend of mine, at sunset time, and it's been absolutely stunning. We had couple of bottles of white wine, we ate some nibbles ( breaded mussels, bread olives) and we watched the sunset. In front of the orange sky at that time there is an amazing swimming pool, very relaxing.

We have travelled many many times to Italy, Corsica, and even Elba, but never to Sardinia. On reflection, this was a really enjoyable experience, despite two minor problems. We did enquire about reserving a table for dinner on our first night, and were told it wasn’t necessary. Tables were always kept for guests. For some reason however, when we arrived the kitchen was no longer operating which meant we had to quickly arrange something else...however, we followed the recommendation of Gabriel, and was not disappointed. The only other problem we had was that for some strange reason our visa provider had an issue with the bank for the hotel. Although funds were transferred, they were sent back. Twice!. I can only imagine this is an inter bank problem, as we had no problem using our credit card elsewhere all vacation. It just meant I had to get cash out, and as such the euro sterling rate was less favourable so we lost a little money. Just one of those things we have never experienced before..😂. So, why the five star review? Because the staff deserved it. The location is stunning, the service was excellent, and the Villa was very comfortable for what we paid. Yes, we would come back. Thank You...

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a hotel! I have traveled along the globe and I have never experienced a worse stay in my life. I am going to attempt an unbiased review based on facts alone. The hotel itself is decently built. The room is modestly furnished but I would not consider it to be high end furnishings. This would be equivalent to a quality inn. The biggest issue here is the hotel staff. They are extremely unaccommodating and make zero effort to please their patrons. I arrived with my wife and 1 year old child for a 4 night stay this summer. They advertise a child friendly facility although this was far from that. The staff were rude and complained that my ONE year old child “was too messy” when she ate? Im sorry?? If you can show me italian infants that dont end up with food in their hair I would be impressed. The “breakfast” is a plate of stale croissants, an Italian equivalent of corn flakes and various cheeses that smell like feet. None of the employees speak english and seem to expect you to speak Italian only. Instead of trying to meet us half way they just say they don’t understand and walk away. The most common phrase I heard here is “not possible” as opposed to “I’ll try”. The entire hotel needs a complete overhaul and staff needs to be retrained (assuming they were trained to begin with). When I brought up my issue to a employee at the desk he said that he did not care that I was upset since I was not the one paying him and sided with the hotel staff. Extremely disappointed with my stay.... avoid this place!
