Travellers' Choice

Beautiful B&B in the center of old Bari, the location is a beautiful ancient palace with frescoes and decorated wooden ceiling. Very kind owners. A little bit cold for chilly people as I am. Very good the breakfast prepared by the lady of the house.

All I can say is what all others have already said. Please read their reviews. What I can add: If you like/want to stay in an authentic Italian palazzo, do not hesitate – this is the place. It is about 4 minutes to the main piazza with good restaurants. Bari has a small walkable old town. Everything is very close. If you are coming by car look at the map of Bari before you arrive and try to park close to the entry to old town Bari that is closest to B&B Corte Zeuli because this is where Paola met us to lead us to her nearby B&B. Be sure to put enough euros (cash or credit card) in the parking meter to last to the next day when you can get to add more to the meter. Due to jet lag exhaustion we were confused and ended up with a parking ticket. Claudio helped my husband deal with the paper work needed to pay the fine. This was our 7th trip to Italy and B&B Corte Zeuli is a wonderful memory of our first stop on our first vacation to the “boot of Italy”. We stayed in the Camera Quadrupla room and it was very spacious. The bathroom was large but the shower was small (who cares). The bed was FANTASTIC – so comfortable! Just stay here, trust me, you will be happy you did. Thank you Paola for your beautiful good-by gift. I will treasure it always.

Thank you Paola for a wonderful stay in your B&B! A wonderful old building in Bari's old city with history and atmosphere a plenty. We arrived quite late, Paola's husband met us in the square which was as far as the taxi could go and walked us the few minutes to the B&B through the narrow old town streets. We stayed in the Mose room which was huge with a lovely high wooden ceiling and flower filled balcony overlooking the street below. The room also had an upper mezzanine level with two single beds so it was fine for four adults if needed. Paola was a great host, full of helpful information on Bari and of course the breakfast! All the cakes and juices were home made and Paola would make any eggs or other requests. So nice to stay somewhere so unique, historic and different rather than the usual bland hotel rooms. It was also incredibly good value!

Me, my wife and our two year old daughter stayed at this beautiful house for two nights. Paola received us with a lovely smile and told us about the rich and interesting history of the house over a shot of home made lemoncello. The room we stayed in was well equipped and beautifully decorated. The house is located in great location, very close to Bari's main attractions. Paola attended to everything we need and much more. We loved the breakfast with a veriety of home made cakes and cookies made by Paola. We really liked our visit there, highly recommend!

Hard to describe our stay in Paola and Claudio’s palazzo other than an extraordinary experience “not to be missed”. The room is charmingly restored and decorated with many 15th century vestiges. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. Downstairs the enormous living room is available for sitting, reading or most importantly talking to Paola – who, as the former Bari city archivist, is an incredible fountain of local and historical information. She also hand makes all of the cakes and pastries she serves for the copious breakfast. We had not originally planned to go to Bari, but changed our plans en route, so we booked this one night stay. It turned out to be one of the most memorable stops of our trip!
