This was my second stay at Portico Rosso. I love Vicenza, and I wanted my partner to visit this charming city and explore the Veneto region with me - we essentially spent a few days visiting Palladian villas, and some time exploring Vicenza too. This is a stunning house, which Lucia has refurbish and set up exquisitely. The most wonderful, creative taste, together with high quality furnishings and minute attention to everything a guest might want (including great advice and perfect breakfasts) made this another great stay. Highly recommended. Thank you, Lucia.

Portico Rosso is the perfect base for exploring Vicenza and surroundings. The historic setting of the B & B sets you up for all the beauty and art there is on offer here. The rooms are lovely and v comfortable. In the morning after a good breakfast you will set off fully informed by Lucia on what to see and, importantly, where to go for lunch or dinner. A real treat and like a cosy home from home.

Perfect place to stay in Vicenza, a short stroll to the centre. Comfortable, peaceful B&B in Lucia's beautiful home. Large, light bedroom individually furnished with excellent bathroom. Delicious, healthy breakfast. Lucia smiling and helpful and informative with places to visit and eat. Don't miss the Teatro Olimpico. If you wear glasses, treat yourself to a new pair as there were more opticians selling fab designer specs than anywhere I've ever seen!

This small B & B is really beautifully appointed & comfortable and on a quiet street a short walking distance to the Centro Storico. Lucia, the owner is a charming, welcoming hostess in her impeccable home. Breakfast was prepared in the beautiful dining room at the time one chose and the freshly baked croissants were yummy as was the freshly made fruit juice & cappuccino to order. Unfortunately due to the weather we did not get to enjoy the lovely garden. Vicenza is a good location from which to visit Venice 45 minutes by train rather than pay the high prices of Venice. Other towns are also close by ...like Padua. If you are there on a Thursday, the outdoor market of foods, clothing etc stretches over many streets & is quite enjoyable.

I was thrilled with the comfort and design of the house. Rooms are beautifully decorated. The atmosphere in the house is really good, Lucia the owner certainly contributed to that with her positive energy. Very rich and delicious breakfast. We also got from Lucia great recommendations for restaurants, museums and cultural events to visit.
