When I looked on the Internet I thought this hotel was close to the train station and central Vicenza. To me, it isn’t. I walked about a block pulling my suitcase in the hot July sun before going back to the station and taking a taxi worth every bit of the ten euros. I was dismayed when the taxi stopped in front of the hotel as it was on a busy street with no charm at all and across the street from an ugly stadium. The hotel itself was nice, very clean and modern with, thank God, a/c. I did the long walk-25 minutes-into the lovely old section. Then had to walk back of course. There are no nearby places to eat and no grocery stores open after 8. I had to use a devise on key chain to get a coke from a machine. The staff was very nice and helpful. If I had had it to do over I would have spent more on a place in the old section of Vicenza.…
We stayed there for 4 nights because it was for a good price at a good location. We are really happy we chose this place, the 15-minute walk to the city center is perfectly fine and you don't have to drive through the city center to get on the highway. Parking was fine too. The Vicenza train station is also about 20 minutes walk which gives you the excellent opportunity to take a direct train to the Venice old town. The room was nice and clean, not too small. The breakfast was pretty good too and the personnel was kind and helpful. Really nothing to complain about , especially at this relatively low price.
A hotel is not only walls and amenities but, more importantly, it’s people and services. The Key Hotel in Vicenza is the most paradigmatic example of this. The warm welcome at the Reception, the exceptional courtesy of the staff that will make your breakfast memorable, the ability of making each client feeling “special” make this place really unique and a “must go” when you plan to visit the amazing city of Vicenza. A final personal remark: a few days ago, I had to check-out quite later than the standard time due to a personal issue. The Key Hotel’s owners understood my personal needs and gave me extra time in the room. Besides any standard classification, from my view the Key Hotel is a really special place to stay. Highly recommended!
We stayed in this hotel just for a night and it was pretty OK for the price paid. Room very clean, bed comfortable but however what we didnt like is that you are supposed to pay extra to have breakfast and that hotel's parking slots were all occupied
We already stayed there before; we come back because it was a wonderful hotel. It still is, very comfortable, friendly. The only thing which changed for less good was the breakfast, which we remembered clearly much better (with self produced little cakes and more fresh ingredients to choose from). We have been a little disappointed? Otherwise still to recommend - very good value for money. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, great bathroom and spotless clean.
