The view from the little terrace on the roof is lovely out towards the castle facing North. Means you are in the shade all day when weather is scorching. Unfortunately there was a storm on our first night, the drain was blocked and half the terrace became a lake. Lift takes you up most of the way up. Location is good, a few minutes away from Santa Anastasia and also a Conad if you go towards the river. Bus 11 or 12 from san Fermo church takes you to the Station Being in the attic you get used to ducking your head getting into bed after the first few headbangs. Decor is very artistic and colourful. Door to her room on next floor down painted in style of Klimt. She is very effusive and Italian in her welcome, and has unlimited interest in you and your background. Kitchenette is an ambitious description.Need to ask for a kettle. No glasses ( bubbly on the terrace) or anything beyond a couple of mugs and sachets for tea and no pods for coffee machine or milk. Breakfast bore no relation to the photos, sadly. Had to ask for sachets of butter. Conad packets of crumbly toast instead of fresh bakery. Coffee might have been ground rather than instant. You eventually get the hang of the bathroom door after the initial locked-in feeling - pull it towards you as you press the button. Verona is a very crowded city. Accommodation is obviously scarce and is a seller's market. …
Nadia, our host, was the best! So generous and helpful with restaurant recommendations and bookings. The apartment is perfectly located and very comfortable. We loved everything about Verona and this was a lovely place to retreat to after wandering and exploring.
We had a memorable stay in this B&B with the most charming owners imaginable. Nadia was very welcoming when we arrived dripping with sweat in almost 40 degree heat. She showed us to our attic studio apartment with its own terrace looking over the rooftops of Verona. The bed was the most comfortable we slept in our 2-month tour of Italy. The breakfasts were truly outstanding and different every day, ranging from coffee with chocolate filled croissants, mozzarella with tomatoes and homemade lemon cake, Mario's award-winning tiramisu, and a finale of French toast with caramelised fruit. Just delicious! It was our wedding anniversary while we were there and Nadia gave me a necklace of the emblem of the house of the Scaligeri, which was so kind. This is the best B&B I've ever stayed in and I would give it 6 stars if I could!…
If you're staying in Verona I recommend staying in this beautiful place. The host Nadia was very welcoming and very helpful. For example, she noticed we drove our car to the apartement becasue wee needed to load in our wine. She tld us we were not allowed in that zone and offered to write the police on our behalf to try and get us out of a fine. The rooms were clean and had a lot of cool artwork. Air conditionning was also a big plus becasue it was very hot outside. All in all, the price-quality ratio is amazing and I'll be for sure staying here again when I go back to Verona.
We love this place and its host even more. Nadia makes a stay in her home unforgettable. She cares for everything, even last minute ordering of the local prosecco is not a problem at all. Sorted in a blink of an eye. The city house is located in the center of Verona, just a few minutes walk to plenty of great restaurants, shopping, Giulietta's house and the impressive Arena. Highly recommended to book the attic with your private terrace. Magnifico. We'll be back Nadia, to take the personal wine tour!
The hostess is great, she takes great care of the place and serves a fantastic, home-made breakfast. She is realy helpful with respect to the local attractions and also very available in case you have ruther doubts or inquiries.
My wife and I stayed in the self-catering apartment. This was spacious ,clean and with good facilities. There also a lift to help with the heavy luggage. The apartment is very centrally situated with most of the main sights an easy walk away. Nadia is a very friendly hostess and we were greeted with a freshly cooked lemon cake!. Highly recommended.
Our family of four stayed here for 7 nights in late June early July 2022. Nadia: consummate host - the rooms are clean, bright and spacious - always ready to help with a smile. Mario: he’s a real surprise- he’s an expert chef - his breakfasts are excellent. Mario’s breakfast cornucopia puts lesser B&Bs to shame - you’ll be spoilt. He draws from a deep knowledge of classic Italian cuisine - including a dish with a recipe from Leonardo Da Vinci- a culinary masterpiece. Nadia and Mario are like relatives with a B&B in the historic centre of Verona. If I could, I’d give them six stars…
Nadia was an exceptional host! This house was beautiful with very unique interior design. The apartment is very safe and a 1 minute walk to the city center. Highly recommend this B&B if you want a comfortable and fun stay in Verona. Thank you Nadia!
We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which is in the same building as the B&B. The owner Nadia was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was large and well-equipped, and full of various art and decorations. There is a supermarket very nearby. The apartment is within walking distance of the tourist sights. An excellent choice, but 2 details to be aware of. (1) you can pay the deposit online, but Nadia wants the majority of the invoice in cash. (2) There are about 7 steps from the street to the lift (elevator), so if you have reduced mobility/wheelchair, that might not be great.
