I have been all over the world to some of the best hotels and this hotel ranks with them. Outstanding in every way. From the moment you walk in they treat you like a relative, that they are so happy you are there and that you are valued. The location is perfect and the hotel simply gorgeous. The front desk staff was great and very helpful, the room and amenities super and the restaurant where I had dinner was spectacular (one of the best meals I have ever had with wonderful service). This is a must stay place in Verona, The only minor and I mean minor complaint is that I did not love the linens on the bed but it did not prevent me from having a great sleep.
So excited as my taxi drove though the small streets of Verona and stopped in from of a beautiful old church and saw that my hotel was in the same square as the church. Some hotels say they are in a good location, but there are always caveats - this hotel IS DEFINITELY in a great location! Right in the middle of things yet so quiet and elegant. Beautiful marble bathroom with luxurious towels. Excellent front desk service. Housekeeping and wait staff at breakfast attentive and expert at their jobs. You can feel old Verona in the expansive lounge and bar.
Enjoyed a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the hotel which, from the helpful and welcoming arrival through to departure was a great experience. Shout out to the trainee on reception who showed all the places to visit near the hotel and the facilities in our room. Didn't catch her name but she was excellent, as were all the other staff. The room was a good size, well furnished and had a large bathroom and plenty of storage space. Yes the furniture is old but is still perfectly usable and was in good condition. The TV was perhaps a little on the small side compared to some modern hotels and there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. However, there was a full and well stocked mini-bar and the bed was very comfortable. Food was excellent with a small table was also provided for in-room dining. The selection at breakfast was extensive with a good selection of gluten-free options as well. The hotel itself is wonderfully located in the old town with all the major places of interest within walking distance. Would definitely recommend.…
Although the property is a bit on the old side. I thought the staff were incredible and served us very well. It was a wedding party so we had almost 80 guests staying there and everyone complemented the staff. The breakfast room could use some renovation and the breakfast options a little more extensive but very pleasant non the less. The gym needs to be expanded a bit as it gets crowded if more than 2 person are present. Otherwise a real pleasure of a hotel.
I recently stayed with my husband for a total of four nights. Three nights first, followed by one night after our visit to Venice. We thought the hotel was very nice. It’s a grand traditional hotel and I’d say it’s in the best location in Verona. Public spaces are very grand. At the beginning of our stay it was hot and we managed to have drinks at the marvellous terrace bar. The bedrooms are comfy and traditional. The furniture is antique and therefore it will show it’s age. The bed is very comfortable indeed as is the bathroom. We asked for a room with a shower. Our first room had a shower and a bath and the second room a shower only. Both were nice rooms. We liked the breakfast at the hotel. Food is if a high standard and the staff are friendly and provide good service. We were give a bottle of wine on our second stay. Unfortunately we couldn’t drink it as it was red. I asked reception if they could change it for white - they refused! I’ve reduced the rating to four stars as this combined with one of the reception staff failing to order a taxi for us didn’t seem like the standards we expect of a five star hotel. Reception staff are mainly friendly but there is definitely a difference in the friendliness and help offered by different staff members. We would stay here again.…
The hotel is in an absolute perfect location. It has a beautiful rooftop bar with a great view of the city. The bartender was so nice too. A breakfast buffet was included. The lobby bar was beautiful also but we never used it. The only reason I gave this hotel a 4 star was because our toom was very small & the furniture was fairly worn & knicked up. The bathroom was clean with a great shower but there was only 1 sink & the area was tiny.
This hotel has a long history but remains beautiful and up to date, centrally located in the center of Verona. The rooftop bar/dining area was relaxing and offers gorgeous views of the city and city lights once the sun goes down. Every staff member offered 5 star service.
Excellent in every sense- we received fantastic service from ALL the staff which is rare. Well deserved title as one of the leading hotels of the world. The concierge service was outstanding with staff going well beyond call of duty- our car key battery was replaced by staff with a smile.
Really beautiful hotel in the centre of old Verona. Lovely rooms. Fantastic service. Very calm and tranquil Bar and restaurant on the hotel roof are lovely. Great views of the city and very relaxing place to have a drink. You can easily walk to the main square, arena and main sites.
The Hotel is located in the centre of Verona so usual tourist attractions are in walking distance. The Hotel has a roof restaurant which is a must for Dinner , the food is freshly prepared to a high standard and fully complimented by a wide range of wine . The vista from the terrace overlooks the roof tops of Verona. Everything about this Hotel is first class
