I said on my last reviews we would stay again and we did. The hotel is a great base for visiting Verona and the surrounding towns. You can get the Aerobus from the airport to Verona Porta Nuova train station and it’s about a 5-10 minute walk from there, you need to buy the bus ticket from the machine by the terminal exit, not on the bus. The hotel is modern so it is spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities. The room was comfortable and well equipped and the bed med to firm but comfy. The breakfast was an excellent range of tasty fresh choices. The bar upstairs does a small menu and there is also a restaurant. The staff were all lovely and very warm, welcoming and helpful. The only down side was the tea and coffee in the room was limited, there was no milk and it was rarely topped up although there is a fridge so you can buy/store milk and the receptionist helped get some supplies out of hours. Being such a close walk to the train station it made a great base to visit Pandora, Vicenza, Lake Garda, Trento and Mantova although you can easily go further afield to Venice or Milan. Highly recommended …
We chose this hotel because it is dog friendly. The location was convenient, about 10 mins walk from the train station and 15 mins walk to the arena. The room was clean and neutrally decorated and the bathroom was nice and spacious. However, the bed wasn’t so comfortable- the double was actually 2 singles put together so there was a gap down the middle. Breakfast was fine; cold meats, cheese, croissants, fruit, bread, eggs etc. Unfortunately the staff were not very friendly. Overall, a decent stay.
Despite all good reviews it's not that great. Breakfast, where do I start- we stayed for 3nights and breakfast was same every single morning, only thing different they bring new cake.Srambled eggs are not made from eggs or have so many flour in it it's the only thing you can taste!Bacon?it's not bacon it's grilled and burnt prosciutto ham! And on a third morning ham already had a small and was out of date (had a sour taste) so was unable to even make myself a sandwich!!! Pastry seem to be fresh! Only thing everyone around us was eating in a morning! Staff seemed nice and helpful and location is great, really close by train station and bus to airport and town centre is about 10min walk:)
We are still here and this is the best hotel booked this year for us ( my 12 holiday this year /5 countries) Great location, close to the airport and town , very very clean and reception staff absolutely great . B’fast lovely . Special thank you for the reception gentleman working on Friday pm , he even help us with toothbrush’s.
Unfortunately, despite all the positive reviews on Tipadvisor about this hotel, we didn't enjoyed it as much. We (luckily) spend just 1 night in this hotel. The entrance of the hotel is beautiful and looks very luxury. The rooms are also big enough and looks ok. However the bed is very hard and thus uncomfortable. But the biggest frustration, is the nois. The rooms are very noice, we heard our neighbour snoring all night. It was so loud, it seemed like he was laying next to us in our bedroom. 3 rooms further, there was a family with young kids. They left the door open all night and walked across the hallway at late hours. Both the parents and children. It was very strange but also a bit creepy as this all happened between 21.00 and 01.30.
Lovely hotel reception staff were superb I did have there names but misplaced the paper i wrote them on always smilling and happy to help they are a big accest to the Hotel breakfast was excelent so were the staff if there was one thing I could do to improve this hotel it would be to put comfy chairs outside to take in a bit of sun with a drink only high table and chairs not suitabke fir everyone otherwise hotel perfect thank you
The hotel is a tiny way from the centre but is close to the train station and about 20 minute walk to the sites. It’s a modern purpose built hotel so the rooms are a good size, the public areas spacious. Restaurant and bar on site which is handy as closest otherwise is 10 mins walk under the rail line. Rooms was well equipped and very comfortable and the staff very nice and helpful. We would stay again.
Great hotel, friendly English speaking staff. Superb breakfast Full English or healthy options to cater for all nationalities Close to train station and bus hub for airport connections 10 mins from the Arena I had great service and smiling faces every day of my 5 day stay which is always nice to see No complaints, recommended if you are going to Venice Lake Garda or the opera
Lovely hotel about 15 minutes walk from town centre, which we liked as was away from noisy pubs etc. Room spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and attentive. Good bar and good food at restaurant. Roberto in restaurant very helpful and friendly and recommended some sightseeing for us. Would stay at this hotel again. Only downside was Wi-Fi had to be kept being logged into.
We had a great experience at Hotel Leon Doro Verona. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and we felt welcomed and cared for throughout our visit. The rooms were clean and spacious and the bathroom was a good size. They offered a great bar and spacious lobby which made socializing with our big group of 30, fun in the evenings. I especially liked complimentary cookies offered with my evening tea. They also offer a lovely breakfast buffet with ample choice and the staff - Sara, Ivy and Ashan were wonderful! Overall, we had a great experience!
