Pros: able to store luggage until check-in as well as after check-out, great location, clean room, breakfast included Cons: unfriendly hostess who never gave us a smile & did not make us feel welcome, minimal choices for breakfast, and very small bathroom for a “deluxe” room. There are many choices for hotels in Verona & we will not choose this one again. We were very disappointed.
The room was clean, elegant, cozy and well equipped Breakfast was so good The host was very helpful with everything we needed Location is central and amazing Parking is quite far from the hotel for 14 euros per day We suggest before arriving ask the host to send location in order to get there and let her know if you need to enter the street by car to take of luggage
While this is billed as a hotel it is more like staying in a stunning luxury home straight out of Architectural Digest. We were in a suite on the first floor with a separate entrance and a group of three private rooms. The room (103) was fabulous - every room is decorated a little differently and ours had amazing wallpaper with venetian lanterns on it in a beautiful muted beige. The reception and breakfast room are on the 2nd floor and breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices. The manager, Michela, was friendly, shared a lot of background about Vernon, and gave us impeccable instructions for our late arrival. Also when Michela learned I was learning Italian she immediately pivoted into speaking Italian just for me. I highly recommend Residenza Borsari and will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Verona.…
This hotel was a little treat right in the middle of all the action. It’s cardinal feature is its proximity to everything you’d want to see in Verona. I’d definitely recommend a balcony, both to celebrate the city of Guilietta e Romeo, and for the excellent people watching. The room was small but cozy, nicely decorated and had lots of storage space in the bathroom. The breakfast was fine; I’ve had better but overall perfectly acceptable. Michela the hostess and front of the house was absolutely lovely and always helpful. It can be a bit noisy at night, but it didn’t bother me. I’d also highly recommend trying the osteria just a few buildings down from the hotel- fabulous food.
Residenza borsari is super well located. Its right in the center of the old city. Breakfast was fantastic! Really good cappuccino. The owners where very accommodating. We checked in at 8am and checked out at 3:30pm. Rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable! We recommend Residenza Borsari! We were very well looked after!
I used Verona as a stopover before exploring Lake Garda with my son. I chose this hotel at the last minute - and it is simply stunning. It is on a beautiful street close to everything and has the most wonderful atmosphere. Our room is immaculate, spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed - the furnishings and décor are simply fabulous. The balcony is an oasis of calm - just amazing. The lady that greeted us was absolutely brilliant. It is possibly one of the nicest places I have ever visited. Value for money - unbelievable. If this hotel was in Paris or Rome - £800 a night without a doubt - we paid £200 and that is the best value for money room I have stayed in for a long time. If you visit Lake Garda - do stay here - what an experience.
Residenza Borsari is a gorgeous B&B. It is immaculately kept and very well managed. The room was charming, well appointed & very clean. Michela, the manager of the B&B, is very customer focused and friendly. Her communications with me were complete, helpful and timely. She got me oriented to Verona right away & I was able to find my way around from the start. And the facility is located close to all of the great sites in Verona. A great place to stay!
Location, location, location If you're interested in shopping for couture merchandise, many high-end retail shops are located on the same street as Residenza Borsari. If you're interested in bargains, walk a few blocks to Piazza del Erbe where there seems to be a never-ending flea market; I bought a scarf for 5EU and leather gloves for 15EU. Excellent restaurants are within a block or two. I can't tell you what the street is like on weekdays, but on Fridays and Saturdays Corso Porta Borsari is FULL of activity. I had no difficulty falling asleep because I was tired after a week of sightseeing, but since my bedroom faced the street, I did hear the faint incessant conversation of the Italian passers by. Italians seem to have so much to say to each other. The accommodations were very luxurious, especially considering the price point. The bathroom was very large and covered with what appeared to be real marble. The shower worked very well and there was plenty of hot water. The bedrooms were large even by United States standards and had lots of drawers and closet space and comfortable mattresses. Breakfast was fine and served in a luxurious atmosphere. I enjoyed the fresh cut up fruit, the assortment of cheeses, and pear and peach nectars. There were many other breakfast items I did not taste. Eggs and fresh squeezed juice were offered. The lobby and breakfast room of Residenza Borsari are very spacious and beautifully decorated in traditional style. Michaela ran the breakfast, checked us in and out, and helped us get our luggage up the stairs. She is wonderful and speaks English well. The elevator goes to some levels of this building but not to the level our rooms were located on. I would go so far as to call Residenza Borsari a hidden gem.…
Good: The location is absolutely perfect, more central is not possible! The room was quiet even when it is in the middle of Verona. Everything is clean and nice. The rooms are really special, looking like the pictures. The breakfast is okay but not outstanding Could be improved: Serving coffee for free is a great idea, having a coffee machine directly in front of our door hearing people having a coffee before 7 in the morning is a pretty bad idea... It is not easy to find the hotel, as it is not more than a floor in a common house. Neither a hotel sign outside nor a legal space to park the car in front of the door because the hotel is located in a pedestrian zone.
The location of the hotel amazing in the middle of the shopping area very safe area even if you will go out late . The check in was fast and the lady was very helpful she speaks good English. The hotel little old but very clean, we booked two rooms the bathroom very big and really nice decorated with nice balcony. I highly recommend for a family
