When I arrived the aircon was not working. No air came out. The phone wasn't working either. So had to go down to reception to tell them. Still didn't work. Went back a second time. They had to reset something from the front desk in order for the aircon to work. The room was quite spacious. Electronic shades. But the bathrooms were strange. No tray for toiletries. They put the shower gel in a bottle on the floor. They need to drill a tray into the wall for toiletries in the shower. The pillows were too flat. Should have normal standard pillows. These things are simple to fix and would make the world of a difference for the guest. Location - it's a straight walk to the arena di Verona. Bit long but you can call a taxi if you want. Asian restaurant right next door if you need a break from Italian food. Buffet breakfast was ok. …
We stayed her for five nights. The location is perfect a few minutes walk from the bus/train station and not much further into the centre of Verona. The room we had was very dated, required some maintenance, but was clean. It did feel a bit like a dungeon although it was on the fifth floor with french doors and a balcony. The trouble was that the curtains would not open/close and the top of the curtains were not even attached to the rail on one side so flapped open. No worries, we thought, we will let them know so they can sort it out. Although the receptionist fully understood what we were saying the curtains were never sorted for the whole of our stay. We had to find a way to keep them closed at night. Another thing to keep in mind is that you cannot keep the doors open as it is so noisy, which is purely down to the location and can not be helped. It was too hot and a bit oppressive once the metal shutters were down at night. I felt the staff worked extremely hard at breakfast and noticed they replenished everything very quickly. The room was kept spotlessly clean and our bed was always made up when we returned to the hotel after exploring Verona. If I could give 3.5 stars I would, but I do not feel the hotel warrants 4 stars. I don't think I would return as would prefer something a bit more modern. Does this exist in Verona, I'm not sure that it does. Not quite sure how it is a four star hotel, more like what I would expect a three star to be like.…
We stayed here for 1 night after driving 5 hours and arrived after 1am. The person at the reception was very nice to us a and let us use the parking spot right out front. The room was very clean and we were given cold water, but the numbering made no sense. The bed was also uncomfortable, but everything else was very good. The location was very convenient. Pretty good hotel
5-10 min walk from bus/railway station and only 15 mins or so down to the central Piazza Bra & Coliseum. Check in was efficient. Our room on the 5th floor had the benefit of a small balcony with views towards the centre of town and the mountains beyond. Plenty of space in the room and the bathroom had the benefit of a shower with massage jet and steam bath features. Breakfast was OK - typical continental style - but was perhaps a little understaffed as, at busier times, tables were not cleared quickly or serving dishes slow to be refilled. Overall however a good stay and would return.
This is an absolutely fantastic hotel. Beautiful rooms, great location but the very best thing about it is the staff who are all just fantastic!! They were all so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Great place to stay in Verona. Just a 5-10 min walk to the city centre. Spacious and clean room, friendly staff. Decent selection of food in the continental breakfast. The only thing we noticed was that you could hear people in the hallway quite well, however this was not an issue as people seemed calm and quiet on our floor.
We just stayed for one night at this hotel. Nice hotel, rooms nice and clean. Comfortable beds and air on good. The shower situation is a bit odd. Feels like your in a capsule. Either we couldn’t figure out how to work the jacuzzi shower or it was broke! Good location with only a 10 min walk either direction to everything. Our only complaint was the breakfast situation. We got down at 9.40 and nothing left. Breakfast ends at 10.30. Highlighted it with staff who said ‘1 minute’ and then brought out a plate of cheese. We waited another 10mins to see would he bring anything else and he didn’t. We highlighted this on checkout and the price of breakfast was refunded. Looking at other reviews I know that management will reply and I won’t have an opportunity to respond again so I’m adding this because I feel it’s important that others know prior to booking.…
24 hour reception with great helpful staff. Some rooms are modern but full of technology which is not easy to get use too. It's a great hotel for a short trip but if you stay longer maybe you will need more amenities. Hotel in a great location close to center and big adanatage is the closeness to the train station.
Hotel was clean, pleasant and very conveniently located. Breakfast was good however the biggest problem this hotel has is the staff. I was given no introduction to how anything worked and there was no information in the rooms. I had to ask about everything. In my room I had 1 socket on the opposite wall to the bed ...that was it !! The staff's solution to this was to join two extension cable together with a multi plug adapter...not the safest and not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. On the day I was leaving I needed a taxi to take me to the station as I had heavy luggage. The taxi I got from the station to the hotel on arrival cost me 7 euros. The receptionist said she would call a taxi and it duly arrived. I noticed the meter started at 5 euros which is standard and as we pulled up at the station the meter said 7 euros 90. The driver pressed a button and it changed to 10 euros 80. When I questioned this she claimed to not understand !! I left and called the hotel to warn them of this practice and the receptionist was rude and actually laughed. She said it was nothing to do with the hotel and I explained that she called the taxi and I was just warning them for future reference to which she said yes do what you want and terminated the call. I have stayed in many BW hotels and this was definitely a shock.…
This hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the arena and shopping. We needed some extra room so we opted for an apartment style room with a kitchenette and a sleeper lounger. Their is not bath tub just a shower. The shower is a little tight. They have reserved parking at a parking garage a block away. However yiu can pull right up to the front door to load or unload. Overall this was a good hotel.
