This was an excellent hotel. Why? Because someone had thought about the facilities and they worked! I sometimes think that the people who design hotels could never have stayed in one and get carried away with wild ideas that only make the stay more difficult. Not here. My room was a single, so was small but everything that I needed for a three nights was there and functioned perfectly for such a stay. Lighting, air conditioning, wardrobe and drawer storage, small desk, shower door that did not leak water all over the floor, position of the things you need, double door for sound proofing, all were first class. I wish more hotel proprietors put the care into providing their overall hospitality facilities as Colomba d'Oro does.
This hotel is ideally located for sightseeing, shopping and eating out. And despite being centrally located, it was quiet. The hotel also has classic, old world charm. Our room was just a potpourri of things to look at, yet it was also quite comfortable. As far as I could tell, there was no air conditioning (but the weather was cool outside, so it wasn’t an issue). Also, the breakfast buffet had enough to eat, but it wasn’t very memorable.
Central location, friendly staff. Breakfast buffet has lots of fresh delicious options. Our room was clean and spacious, but the furniture was uncomfortable. The rugs in the hallway and on the stairs were very dirty and loose to the point of being possibly dangerous. Our room faced a main public square so was noisy.
Hotel staff was exceptional in making our stay great. Everyone was pleasant and helpful daily. Our room was fabulous and the morning breakfast was top notch. This hotel is perfect for walking to all of Verona’s top attractions Will definitely be back!
Location is excellent , right at the heart of Verona adjacent to Roman Theatre and great restaurants , stores Breakfast is excellent ,amazing staff, Rooms are clean and spacious. Bathrooms are very clean
I arrived having booked my stay through booking .com I have a decent car so I wanted to make sure the hotel had a garage and in the confirmation they confirmed that secure garage parking was available I wanted this as I have travelled to Italy on many occasions and if you leave the car on the road in Italy it is likely to get damaged I arrived as I have said and the hotel is in a poor location in narrow roads and my car was too big to get into the entrance to the underground garage so the Manager said there was only a car park some way away but not secureThe access to the garage was calready badly damaged by cars unable to gain access IF YOU ARE DRIVING DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL I twas all very tired as far as I could see The staff were not helpful at all I think the hotel and BOOKING . COM should make it clear that the garage at this hotel is only suitable for small cars I was charged by the hotel for my stay regardless of the fact that the hotel could not fulfill their part of the contract by providing a secure parking space The manager offered a free cancellation and then they charged me AVOID…
This is a wonderful hotel, perfect location, excellent staff and you feel like you are stepping back in time in Verona. We, unfortunately arrived the day of the finale of the Tour of Italy so getting to the hotel was not easy since all the streets downtown were blocked, but other than that the days in Verona were perfection. I would check ahead with the hotel to see if an event is blocking the streets, so you know .Stay at this hotel and you an be at the Arena in 5 minutes
Fantastic location, 2 minutes walking from the Arena in a quiet street. We have enjoyed the cleanliness, the good sleep for the silence, the good quality and wide choice of food at breakfast and the kindness + high quality service of the staff. They really care of their customers. I will definitely come again.
Great hotel, beautiful decoration, great location 2 mins walk from the Arena. Staff were very helpful and friendly, lovely bar area in the middle outside. Very clean, had to wear masks, breakfast was served directly. Would definitely stay here again.
Very nice hotel i the city center and with a parking garage, worth every euro (€22) Walking distance to everything, nice room, very good bathroom, and towels. Bed is very good and the pillow too (it can really be a problem in Italy often to hard) Wifi good aswell and a tasty breakfast. Staff is very nice.
