immediately Residenza le Batesina exceeded our expectations. Donatella is a wonderfully kind hostess and we felt at home upon arriving in this oasis of peace and harmony.The magnificent garden/pool area offered us a most welcome respite from the hubbub and noise of the millions of tourists jamming Verona....which is an easy 10 minute drive away. Breakfast was an enormous spread of anything you might have dreamt about...delicious. We will most certainly stay here again. Thanks Donatella.

Absolutely divine little hotel set just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city centre. A little sanctuary with beautifully tended gardens that are peaceful to relax in. The pool is open 24hours a day with plenty of sunbeds and is a good size. Beach towels are provided in your room. The city centre is reached by the number 13 bus in the town centre (or bus 90 in the evening) and stops at the train station and the arena to start your exploring. Purchase bus tickets from the local tabachi across the road from the bus stop for cheaper price €1.30 and do not forget to validate your tickets (this is the same if you are catching a train as they check and you will end up with a hefty fine if you dont validate). The room was very tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed and a variety of beverages and snacks stocked in the mini bar. The shower was brilliant with a good water pressure and towels were refreshed daily. Donatella was an amazing host who was welcoming (rescued us from being dropped off by taxi on wrong street) and couldn't do enough to service our needs. The breakfast was incredible with freshly baked cakes every morning, fresh fruits, breads, meats & cheeses as well as cereals, yoghurts and cooked breakfast also available. Fresh juices and the option to create your own smoothie to taste also available. The location is a short 10 minute taxi ride away from the airport and will cost between €22-32 depending on the time of travel. Thank you for a delightful stay Donatella! This is the most amazing place. Everything about it is fantastic. Donatella is such a fabulous host. Her homemade cakes every morning were something special. The breakfast was superb and bring able to sit outside to eat was lovely The rooms were beautifully decorated and she thought of everything with bathroom toiletries towels for the pool and bottles of water. The pool area is so peaceful. We couldn't have asked for more. Plenty of local places to eat and drink. Easy access by bus into Verona and then a train to Venice. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back

Great place, not far from Verona city but having the quietness to relax and enjoy. Donatella has made a great work on the rooms which are of great detail and taste. The breakfast had everything and most of the served were handmade.

An excellent nights sleep on extremely comfortable beds. We loved our stay here and was impressed with Donatella’s warm welcome and fabulous breakfasts with plenty of homemade delights. Lovely relaxing pool area is great after a days sightseeing.

Just spent 3 days with Donatella. What a delight that was. La Batesine in San Massimo 2 miles from centre of Verona, an easy bus ride on route 13 by day or 90 later at night OR taxi. Buy 10 bus tickets for group travel €10 at the bus station or a tobacconist. Lovely air conditioned room, comfortable bed, fridge, safety deposit box, free bottled water each day. Large gardens & patio, pool, shower, loungers. Pool towels provided. Splendid breakfast fresh fruit, cereals, smoothie, homemade surprises, a breakfast banquet each morning. Fruit by the pool mid afternoon. A number of local restaurants and supermarkets close by. Highly recommended if you want the city but then the chill of the suburb! Nb Have to pay for tourist tax and mini bar cash.

We had such a relaxing stay at Residenza La Batesine. Donatella is so welcoming and friendly, she really makes your stay extra special. You can tell she really goes above and beyond to make her guests have the best stay possible. Her breakfasts as well were outstanding, there was such a wide variety and everything was delicious. Our room was gorgeous and comfortable, it really felt like luxury. The location is great because you are just a short bus ride out of the centre of Verona, meaning you get all the benefits of being close to the city, but with the added extras of having a pool and a relaxing atmosphere to come back to. The pool area was spotless and very relaxing, you feel like you're in a little oasis. We loved it. We can't wait to return, it was a fabulous end to our holiday!…

My wife and I stayed only for one night. There is only a small problem - google maps is not giving the exact location - but there are signs or the phone and you can easily reach it - the rest was really perfect. The property and our room was really fantastic. Also the owner gave as a map of the city and gave us directions on where to park, what to see etc. The breakfast was also really nice, mostly home made. I really recommend it, it is really beautifull.
