This was one of the most beautiful places that we stayed on our trip. Surrounded by rolling green hills and vineyards. You definitely need a car to explore the area. Martina was very helpful and as mentioned previously the only one to speak English. Everyone else was very friendly and smiling. The breakfast (which is 10 eu extra pp) is...

Very nice and friendly welcome. We had a room in the "tower". Very atmospheric, especially the roof terrace with good view over the surroundings. We also arranged for a wine tasting which was perfect. Very good choice of wines. As the Azienda has no restaurant, we highly recommend the adjoining Enoteca which serves excellent wines and food. There is only...

We booked a stay at Corteforte based on a recommendation by friends who had stayed there last year. In spite of some changes in management, Corteforte met and exceeded our expectations! One caveat: Martina is the only English-speaking part of management. When she is not there, be prepared to use your Italian, French or German. The rooms in the tower...

We stayed 5 nights in Olivella, the little house that is part of Corteforte. Olivella is set back from the main building about ¼ mile in the olive groves of their vineyards and has gorgeous views. The house is 2 bedrooms with 2 modern baths (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs). We loved the house with the wood beam ceilings, farm table...

This is the most stunning and relaxing place to stay. Fairly basic rooms keep the hot air out whilst allowing for great views out across the vineyard and olive groves of fumane. We barely saw anyone during our three nights there, although some may find the hands off attitude of the staff a little surprising it was just what we...

Where do I begin.......During May 2008, 2 friends and I headed to Italy from the US. Our plans included stops in varous cities/towns along the way. One place we planned to visit was Verona and while searching for places to stay, we found Corteforte. It's a jewel located about 20 minutes drive from the center of Verona, Italy. I called...
