Very friendly and accommodating owners. Fantastic location Its in a nice quiet square only 5 minutes walk from a vaporetto stop (waterbus). There's a coop grocery store directly across from the B&B came in very useful for supplies, The room was surprisingly large and clean for the price. A great stay.

Lovely place in a italian Square. The room we were in was lovely and with views to the square so we saw the sun rising, the church and in the afternoon italian families walking around and the kids playing football. The B&B is located in a great area, just 10 minutes from San Marco and the stations. There is also a restaurant just beside it with delicious food, making La Patatina B&B a wonderful place to stay in Venice. Luca, the owner, is very polite and helpful. If we had any doubt or needed advice, he was happy to help, always with a smile. I really reco, mmend this place if you go to Venice

Service: Extraordinarily gracious and welcoming staff, truly excellent customer service without being overly formal. A perfect example of lovely hosting. Enormous breakfasts were brought daily at a prearranged time and the staff were very accommodating when we needed to change the delivery time one morning due to our schedule. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit, it truly felt like a little oasis. Room: The rooms are spacious and include a small entry room with a divan. The decor is grand and theatrical and a bit mysterious (those are always compliments coming from me, make no mistake) with upholstered walls, damask for days, and all the gold trim your heart desires (my heart desires quite a lot of gold trim, your heart may vary.) There was no bidet, which is a small shortcoming, but the bathroom was tidy and the water pressure was delightfully thunderous. Location: The location was wonderful, far enough away from the most crowded areas but still within easy walking distance of almost everywhere and the vaporetto stop is very nearby. There is noise from the square, but it wasn’t obtrusive and for me it enhanced the stay to hear the daily life of the district - this is a square where children play, church bells toll, and street musicians busk. If you prefer a more insulated and silent hotel stay, this may not be the place for you. Our room (Casanova) had a stunning view of the Church of San Giacomo dell’Orio. The hotel itself has a very private, almost secluded feel. We rarely passed other guests in the common areas and there was no noise leak from the halls. There’s a grocery store just across the square and it was very convenient to grab a few staples for the mini fridge in our room.

We stayed here for four nights in April with my husband. The surrounding area is nice and quiet, and the B&B is located on a square. We had the attic room with a terrace and a view over the rooftops. The room has a nice good-sized bathroom, large bedroom and even a separate dressing room. The big plus is a terrace with table and chairs. That’s where we spent most of our time, when in the B&B. Breakfast is served daily into the room, and we had ours on the terrace. Breakfast varies a little from day to day, and gives you a good start for the day. No elevator here, but if you are in a basic condition there’s no problem. The B&B was very quiet and only once we bumped up onto other guests.

We stayed here for one night and thought it was lovely. The rooms are beautifully decorated to a high standard, the fabric walls and the waterfall shaper were the highlight. The only downside was that the view from the balcony was purposefully obstructed by plants as it overlooked the neighbours so good for a drink outside but not for photos or taking in the view. The host was lovely and helped us check in at 1 even though we were early for check in time. Breakfast is served in the rooms as there is no dining space. We like to dine privately so not a problem at all only downside is you have to pre-book what time you want breakfast delivered so less flexible. Breakfast was bread, meat and cheese a yogurt, coffee and juice so a little limited and we were hungry quickly after. I think hotels like this should let guests preorder what the want for breakfast to avoid wastage and ensure the customers are happy. Just a recommendation. ... Overall my husband and I agreed that we would be happy to stay there again should we return to Venice.

My grandson and I stayed here for one night in September. Although not in the heart of the tourist area it was closer to the train station for us and was perfect. Directions were sent how to get there from the train station and my grandson using his iPhone got us there easily. Room nicely presented, quiet and bathroom clean. Breakfast was brought to our room and adequate and delicious, a larger table to put it on would have been better..

Pros - Good location, not quite as touristy. Rooms are lovely decor. Staff accommodated an early breakfast for early check out for a flight. Good size bathroom. Cons - room was at front of building and noisy from street until after midnight. Breakfast is all sugary. Room service, no evidence. Very limited staff help, rarely on site. Shower could be a lot cleaner, wipes black hinge from corners just with toilet paper.

The bedroom was beautifully appointed but the bathroom had a good deal of black mould around the shower and the sink unit was very shabby and hardly any room at all for toiletries - maintenance required here. Breakfast is delivered to your room but only one cup of tea or coffee per person - thank goodness we had our travel kettle. There was no fresh fruit or cereal but a croissant each, a packet of crackers and a small portion of cream cheese + a choice of jams and one tiny butter pat each. To be fair, we did know that there was no dining room when we booked but would not wish to have this option in the future as we found it very disappointing. All in all it was ok but could have been better.

The place is well located and easy to access from the airport. The room was clean and the bathroom very convenient. The breakfast is brought to the room but the table is very small. The only problem I had were the stairs. It should be mentioned .

This accomodation completed our weekend in Venice. Marina's detailed directions made it an easy transit from airport to B&B. Our room felt spacious, had a lovely decor, a very comfortable bed, proper air conditioning and well-appointed bathroom (fantastic shower). Breakfasts by the open windows with views onto a charming square and a beautiful Church of Saint James of Orio (one of the oldest in Venice), to the sound of the morning bells, were a delight.
