Fabulous open plan "loft" style apartment sharing the same building as the Hilton Molino Stucky on Giudecca. We had the top apartment with the mezzanine bedroom and 5 of us shared it very comfortably. With its fabulous views across the Giudecca Canal to Venice; it's well stocked fridge; comfortable beds and excellent management (the charming and very helpful Luca) -...

From the moment we entered the building we knew we had made the right decision. The apartment - 4th floor - was quiet and very spacious with a lovely venetian décor. The apartment was kept clean and tidy and had all the home comforts required to make your stay problem free. Breakfast was provided each day of your stay with...

Perfect in every way! Was such a lovely place to stay for 6 nights throughout the holiday. Apartment was lovely and spacious with dining area, settees and a lovely kitchen that had absolutely everything you needed. Bedroom area and bathroom perfect too. Bed was huge and apartment cleaned every day with fresh towels and linen, it was like walking into...

The apartment that we had, Burchio Studio is very large and comfortable. The furniture looks beautiful. The hosts supply the food for the breakfast, the guest should prepare it themselves. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking (we had dinners in restaurants, but I know other guests could be intereste d in preparing the meals). The view is very nice....

My husband and I escaped for one night to Venice, and the Hilton made it all the better. The room and the view were enough to make us feel like we had the royal treatment without ever leaving the property. The location is very convenient to public transportation as well as the free shuttle to St. Marks Square. The location...

Where to start.... Eleonora waited for us as we checked in around 7:30 pm. She was very pleasant and helpful giving us a map of Venice and the times for the water shuttle. The water shuttle is free to Venice -Zattere and San Marco because staying at the Residenza Grandi Vedute allows you to use the Hilton's shuttle. That saves...

Not sure how I missed doing my review, because staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a top floor apartment with absolutely awesome views overlooking the Grand Canal. They provided breakfast every morning in our unit, answered our many questions graciously, were helpful at check in and check out. The apartment was delightful, lots of...

We often stay on Giudecca. The portent was fabulous. Duplex. Great view. Lovely feel and really comfortable. The staff are perfect for all. Peaceful and a short hop on the Hilton boat to Zattere. Easy from there to all or to the backstreets for Dosoduro. Recommend this place especially if you know the Hilton Hotel. Perfect for a family and...

Being next to a fiver star hotel like the Hilton could make you very annoyed and jealous of your place wasn't up to scratch luckily I did not have these feelings! Its a lovely spacious apartment/room that we received with lovely high ceilings which with space being expensive in Venice this place was a real find. We got the blue...

We stayed on the island of Guidecca across from St. Mark's. Had free use of the Hilton water bus to reach the tourist sights. This island itself was peaceful and a great reprieve from the days' sightseeing. Sometimes we ate at restaurants there for dinner. We loved the apartment with it's own kitchen, which they kept stocked with breakfast food...

Staying in Giudecca

Neighbourhood Profile
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our luxury apartments decorated in a 17th century Venetian Style with all the modern comforts are located on the top floors of the right wing of the Molino Stucky, a late 19th century art nouveau grain mill on the Giudecca Island in Venice. Six of our apartments overlook Venice. Each of them with a unique view of the Serenissima. Their size varies from 45 to 90 square meters with high wooden ceilings, big queen size beds, spacious living rooms and bathrooms in Verona marble. We are only 10 minutes by boat from Saint Marks Square and 5 minutes from the Grand Canal. After a long and complex restoration finished in 2003, the Molino Stucky is one of the finest and most comfortable buildings in the city. We assure you that our luxury apartments and the peaceful Island of the Giudecca are the way of enjoying a relaxing holiday in Venice. This Island, just across from Saint Marks Square, has always been one of the favorite summer places of the noble Venetian families who built beautiful villas surrounded by lovely gardens and orchards, as well as churches, monasteries and convents. Some are still standing and others like the monastery of San Biagio became the Molino Stucky. ... more   less
