My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a 3 day break and were both so impressed. First impressions always matter and it couldn't have been better. You check in at the sister hotel 'Florida' and the reception staff there are incredible, so friendly...More

And what a disappointment!
When you think of a BnB, you might think of an elegant host or hostess who reflects great pride in their home or a country inn. On entering your room, there might be a dish of freshly baked cookies, flowers, maybe...More
The hotel is more like apartments house. Near the door there is no sign of hotel. It can be a little bit confusing. The reception is in the hotel Florida ( about 10 minutes on foot from the Casanova). The reception stuff explained the location...More

We are happy to know that you spent well your stay in our B&B.
We'll wait you next time you come back in Venice.
Thanks to the previous reviews (and also to the email that we received from the staff at Hotel Florida) we knew that we had to pick up the keys at the Hotel Florida front desk before heading to the B&B.

Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture
universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.
