Stayed recently for a week. Pleasently suprised, room was lovely and warm, spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds, shower always hot. Furniture old and could be updated. The only let down was the breakfast, there was however plenty of it but bacon you could see through, sausage chopped in to small slices and scrambled egg with no taste at all. I would recomend this hotel to anyone.
As the title suggests a great hotel in a great location. All sites one would wish to see are walkable. Water bus/taxi on route gives great introduction to the city. Partner and I was traveling for her Birthday. I emailed hotel prior to arrival to request the most special room they could provide and we wasn't disappointed. Requested flowers and Prosecco upon arrival in the room, slightly expensive but worth it. Heated flooring in the shower room was a lovely touch after a busy day exploring. Reception very helpful in recommending a range of restaurants to suit budget and taste. Breakfast in the morning was basic but set us up well for a busy day exploring a beautiful city. We would definitely book in this hotel again.
Whilst very centrally located and in theory a perfect little hotel, we managed to be given a room that wasn't pictured on their website.. Very small, absolutely no natural light at any time of the day and you could hear the people upstairs very clearly whilst they were on the toilet. We chose not to have the breakfast here as it was a cramped room where social distancing seemed not to be taken into consideration.
We stayed for 4 nights in August and loved it. Our first room, although decorated nicely, was tiny. When my partner slept with his feet out over the end of the bed I couldn’t get past to go to the loo! They did move us to a bigger room which was much better though. The two rooms and the shared areas were well decorated. It all felt very Venetian which is what we wanted. The bathrooms do let it down though as these are very dated. Don’t even bother with the hairdryer either- you may as well just get someone to blow on your hair! That being said, the bathroom was the only downside really, and they were perfectly clean and useable. The rest was great. The little outside area when you come in is lovely and we made it our own in the evenings, playing cards and watching the world go by. The location is wonderful! So close to everything and on a gorgeous little ‘street’. The staff were great and the check in/ out process very efficient. We’d definitely go back. The only difference is we’d upgrade to a canal view room (wasn’t available when we went). …
We (family of 4) stayed from Wednesday through to Thursday in February 2020. The hotel is managed along with the San Lorenzo next door, and was easy to find although there was no big sign and someone from reception at the San Lorenzo saw us on the door step and came out to tell us we were at the right place and check us in. Everything was easy - the room was big and clean, with antique style furniture and chandelier. The hotel (along with most of Venice) is very old, but well equipped, clean, airconditioned and heated. The bathroom was good. Breakfast was a cold buffet with good variety of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, meat, cheese, breads, cakes etc and coffee. It's less than 5 minutes walk from St Mark's Square and less than that from the water taxi stop at San Zaccharia. The little pizza place on the other side of the canal from the front door is good.…
Lovely hotel, first room was nice though had a bit of noise in mornings from setting up breakfast, when mentioned they happily upgraded us to another room, staff polite, helpful and courteous, will definitely return, a gem in heart of Venice 👍
Very nice hotel, great location. Quite street where locals live, elementary school near. Rooms are cosy, clean with good wi-fi. Classic continental breakfast, did not eat lunch or dinner. Lovely little garden, convenient for smokers ;)
We recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights on our first visit to Venice. It is conveniently located just 7 minutes walk from san zaccaria pier and an easy walking distance to all major tourist sites and the city centre. The room was spacious, clean and tidy and the included breakfast great, including the provision of a generous breakfast box for an early tour departure we had. The reception staff were very professional and helpful for us with information and directions. There’s a great little cafe right opposite, and a coin operated laundry nearby.
Loved this hotel, great room with good views. Close to everything with a lot of places to eat and shop nearby. Check in was good and staff were gteat. Would stay here again if going back to venice. Didnt go for breakfast so can't comment on food.
The overall hotel was nice. It was close to restaurants and could easily walk to the main square. The downside is there is no elevator and very steep steps so after a long day out and about they are not so fun. The beds were interesting, they seemed like cots with a thin mattress on them. The size of the room was nice, there was a couch. When we checked in the staff was great, when we checked out, not so much. We had to drag our bags down the stairs ourselves, and the person at reception was not very nice. I am not sure if I would stay here again.
