The exterior of this B&B, and all of Venice for that matter, is very rustic. The beauty defined by classic style slowly maturing until now as other life forms add to the design. The interior is very classical. Ornate furniture combined with wood like tile floor of similar style impressed us very much and the word regal comes to mind....

We were absolutely delighted with our stay here. We had a lovely welcome and we're given a map and advice on where to go in Venice. It was my birthday so there was a lovely surprise in my room, very generous of them and kind. The room was just stunning, very grand. Breakfast in our room the next morning was...

Very cute Venetian style B&B in a lovely and quiet area, just by a bridge. Location is perfect, 5min for San Stae station (airport and train water bus routes), 5min walk to Rialto market and bridge and 15min to San Marco! Very nice host, Sabina was helpful even recommended good restaurants during our short stay there. Breakfast, served in the...

Booked this for my fiancé's birthday, wanting something a little special for his first trip to Venice. Couldn't have been more pleased. Room was exactly as the pictures showed online (room 106) - exquisite decor and a lovely size. The bathroom was spacious and new with both a waterfall and detatchable shower heads. Very high quality complementary toiletries, including ear...

We stayed here for 2 nights. Very nice property- walking distance or easy water taxi ride to St. Mark's square but we loved being away from all of those crowds. Our room was beautiful, with windows that opened onto the canal. Breakfast was served in our room. Staff was very friendly and helpful- held our luggage after we checked out...

My Aunt and I stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay immensely. The property is immaculate, beautifully decorated and conveniently located near the San Stae vaporetto stop. We were able to take the vaporetto from the train station with our luggage to this property with little trouble when we arrived. We were lucky to get in as it...

This is a great B&B. Many reviewers have written details of the Ca' Bonvicini so I will not repeat the descriptions. However, I have advice about entering the foyer for the first time at night. Ca' Bonvicini has two entrance doors: one is the main entrance and the second door is the one guests use to get to their rooms....

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
