Nice and clean hotel. Nicely decorated, adds to the Venice atmosphere. Very good location. About 2 minute away from the water bus stop. Very easy to get to airport or any other part of the island. Staff are nice. The breakfast is poor. You get a croissant and a coffee. A toast in a pack available with jam / Nutella....

Stayed here for 3 nights and would highly recommend to others. The room that we stayed in was upgraded and was very big and spacious overlooking the Canareggio Canal. Great location a few minutes walk to Guglie water bus stop. St Marks Square is a 20 minute walk away.

I really liked this hotel. Daniel who checked me in was very helpful and gave a map of the city and a guide on what's on in Venice. I was only there for two days but the room was spacious and really liked the heated towel rail. It came in handy to dry my runners after walking in the rain...

We loved this hotel! It's very close to the vaporetto stop which was fantastic as we were cold, groggy, and disoriented when we arrived in Venice. Our room was downstairs which initially felt as though it wasn't quite private enough, and our room had a view of a brick wall so that wasn't really fun. However, the room itself was...

The hotel is a 10min walk from the train station and about 20min walk to major sites i.e. Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's Square. The Guglie waterbus station however, is only a few meters away. If you prefer staying in an area a bit less crowded, and you enjoy walking, this hotel would be a good fit for you. It is...

We received a very warm welcome. The hotel was easily visible & was a 1 minute walk from the boat bus, which was important because it was pitch dark and foggy out! The room was perfect - clean, warm, romantic and the bathroom seemed newly remodeled. I loved where the hotel was located, close to the train station and with...

We stayed from november 16 to Nov 18, it was low season so there was not that many people in venice, the hotel has a very strategic possition near the train station, the owner, pablo, was very nice to us, the room was amazing we felt like we were in the 1800's, the hotel was always clean and the breakfast...

We had a pleasant time here! The rooms were clean and huge! We were fortunate to stay in a suite over looking the canal. It was a lovely view, watching the boats and people below. We really liked the location, 15 min walk from the train station. It could be a little difficult if you cant roll your bags but...

We stayed in one of the canal facing suites for our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier with our choice of hotel. Great location without any of the craziness of the really tourist heavy locations but easy to get to the main attractions. We used the water buses to go out but often walked back from the St Marks Square...

Nicely situated hotel with beautiful rooms. About 15-20 minuts walking distance to piazza Roma bus station, a bit less to the train station. Staff very nice and friendly. Room service was spot on. Wi fi signal in the rooms very poor, especially with apple devices.

Thank Gilad S

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
