We stayed at the Hotel Mignon for 3 nights and had an amazing time. The hotel is within walking distance to everything! The water taxi dropped us off right in front of Apostoli and it was a short 1 minute walk to the hotel. Christina...More
Our family of 4 stayed with Mignon Hotel. We had an apartment that was separate from the main hotel. The hotel escorted us to our apartment so it was easy to find. The apartment had a small kitchen and dining room area. There were two...More
A nice and quite hotel, close to all the main attractions. Nice rooms, although not too big. Service is very good, specially the the breakfast provided by Giulia and Beata. The only flaw is that the bathrooms could be renovated.
We went to Venice for two days after buying a double room at the hotel on the internet. When we got there we found a room without any window and balcony, We asked for room change as it was an illegal room outlaw. They did...More

I went to check in, it was all prepaid online, went to see the room and my wife was in tears and felt she was in a ghetto home. I have traveled to Venice a few times and have enjoyed all my stays. Mignon Hotel...More
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

I would take the cheap option and take the bus into the bus station in Venice then walk across the bridge on the grand canal. The hotel is just 10 to 15 minute straight forward walk. (See google street view) or take the number one water bus at around 7 euro per person but you still need to walk a few minutes to get to the hotel. I thought It was better value to get the 24 hour water bus pass which was twenty euro and used it to visit the island of Murono, Burono and to tour the grand canal.

Hi, the prices aboutthe water taxi are around 100€ from the VCE airport to Venice and to out hotel. we reccomend you to get a bus from the VCE airport and get to Ple Roma and then get a waterbus that will get you to the Ca D'Oro waterbus stop. When you will get off from there our hotel is reachable in 5 minutes.
For some restaurants this is a good site to get all of the info that you need, nearby or not to our hotel.
