We have recently returned from five wonderful days and nights staying at the Ca'Angeli in beautiful Venice. Our party consisted of my wife and myself, two teenage daughters and our four year old daughter and one year old son. The facilities laid on by the hotel for all of us was top class and exceeded our expectations. The rooms were... More

Ca'Angeli Hotel Venice February 2006 Having stayed in several hotels in Venice we would definitely rate the Ca'Angeli as the best for the price. Great location, friendly atmosphere with lovely views of the Grand Canal from the fabulous lounge. The hotel has recently been very tastefully refurbished with nice finishing touches. However, my husband didn't want me to send this... More

My husband and I stayed in Ca' Angeli for four nights and were very pleased with our stay. We liked the location in San Polo, which is very walkable to San Marco square, but away from the expensive, busy area. We are also very close to the Rialto Market, which is great to visit. Georgio and the rest of the... More

We stayed at Ca'Angeli for 4 nights including New Years Eve as a group of 7. We booked based on the positive feedback on this site and Ca'Angeli didnt disappoint. The location is fantastic and right in the middle of all the main tourist areas as well as the more quieter areas of Dorsoduro and San Polo. Giorgio and all... More

When looking for a hotel in Venice, look no further than Ca' Angeli. We spent a relaxing and romantic 3 night stay here over Christmas and felt right at home in probably one of the nicest areas in all of the city. An easy walk to all the major sights, but far enough from the chaos of San Marco. The... More

Friendly welcome, knowledgeable advices and information, delicious breakfast, spacious room, extremely clean. The main feature: one feels like being hosted in a family. And it really seems to be a family. Everything runs smoothly, discreetly and in harmony. It helps to start and end a day in Venice, even during the cold December.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
