Lovely, elegant room. In the evening a little noise from the street but quiet during the night. Central location, familial feeling and good service.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ca' San Polo. The hotel is close to attractions, but tucked away in a small, quiet street. Our room was lovely and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. The hotel's manager gave us great tips for restaurants and all of the staff were friendly and efficient. We were so impressed by the high...

I agree with most of the comments in the other reviews. The hotel is well located in the San Palo area about 20-25 mins walk to San Marco, 20-25 min walk to the Academia, 15-20 min walk to Rialto and 20-25 min walk in other direction to the Jewish Ghetto. For me this is an ideal location although for those...

This little hotel tucked around the corner of a winding alley was recently converted from a home built in the 15th and 16th centuries. When we arrived, the manager was so friendly, answering all of our questions of her favorite places to go and what to see before taking us to our amazingly quaint room. You could tell from talking...

We were very happy staying at Ca' San Polo. The location was great, and well signposted. Room was air-conditioned and very comfortable. Our room was located right next to the breakfast room, but the noise was not a problem at all. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to others.

Nice and friendly stuff. And the lucky thing was we were upgraded from a double room to a suite :) the room was nice, full of Venetian decor. Quiet and peaceful at night for a nice sleep. There is a super mart (billa) turning left from this hotel, so it was convenient for us to get some groceries. The only...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
