The hotel is part of the San Marco hotel, but seemingly in another tower, inside it may be like a labyrinth but the suites are like small apartments. Well decorated and nice bathrooms. Bed was not too cozy, but works well. Breakfast was regular, nothing...More
Our travel agent picked this one for us and it was a great choice for our one night in Venice to attend a performance at Musica a Palazzo. HOWEVER, be warned that the address given on the website or the confirmation email is not how...More
We opted for a 2 bedroom suite for 6 adults. The room was very spacious and had 2 bathrooms! Like other hotels in Venice, the room is victorian style, which I don't particularly care for, but it was clean nonetheless. Great location just seconds from...More

The hotel was really good, and perfectly placed for St Mark's Square. The only gripe I would have is over finding the bloomin' place - all we had was an address, which is NOT the address for reception.
You need to look for Hotel Royal...More

We arrived at the airport just after 9.00 in the morning so decided to make a leisurely way to the hotel by coach, water bus and on foot with luggage. We did this stopping for refreshment at the change spots and arrived in Piazza San...More

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

Our family took a water taxi to St. Mark's Square. The water taxi drops you off at the taxi stand and you will have to walk from there to the hotel. Maybe a 5 minute walk? Bikes/cars are not allowed on the island so you will have to walk everywhere. You can take a waterbus or water taxi to different islands around Venice.
