Moustafa is the best hotelier I have met in a long time compassionate understanding sympathetic to travellers’ needs Highly recommend as travellers can only benefit from such high standards of compassion from their hoteliers
The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting Biennale, as it is located exactly between Arsenale and Giardini. It is very close to Via Garibaldi with all the cafes and restaurants, and even a supermarket. It has wheelchair accessible rooms, which is in Venice usually a rare find. The rooms are spacious and clean, there is breakfast available with fresh brioches :) The stuff was amazing and took good care of us, being very helpful, and even packing us a breakfast "to go" for the departure day as we were leaving the hotel very early. Unbelievably sweet! :)
Good hotel, nice staff especially Mr Mustafa. He was very kind, helpful and always smiled. He was the best! Good standard hotel breakfast. Quiet neighborhood, shop and restaurants very close to the building.
Great location .There are many restaurants and cafes near the hotel and a nice garden..clean rooms, good staff, mustafa is the best! very helpful.if you need something ask him. Spcially thanks to Mustafa
Great location, clean rooms and a 24/7 receptionist. Mustafa was really helpful and made my stay in Venice very easy and convenient. The hotel is very close to both Biennale and to many restaurants and cafes.
For the price and service it was a wonderful hotel. Definitely recommend to those who are in Venice to visit the Biannale. Nice neighborhood. İt was clean and the staff was helpful. Specially thanks to Mustafa👏
Considering I booked 3 months ago I was given what I can only call a dark and slightly faded room with inadequate lighting, a tiny, tiny but clean bathroom up a very narrow staircase. There was a stunning view of a very close wall and a garbage area directly below. Be careful.... this hotel entrance is not directly on Via Garibaldi ... it took me 20 minutes and the help of a number of people to find a very small sign next to the alleyway, next to the church pointing the direction which was down that alley, take a right and then in.... poky place! Also a bit scary on your own returning to alone after dinner. The staff kindly carried my suitcase upstairs as it was. narrow and slippery. My room was one of 4 which opened straight into the small breakfast area upstairs... Each morning I awoke at 7 to the clatter of preparations for what I would call the most meagre spread for a continental breakfast I have ever been offered. . Two cereals , milk , butter , some small cheese packets and a platter of ham sliced cheese and a salami at the main table along with a small basket on each table comprising a couple of croissants, a couple of small rolls and little packets of crackers! This ... paired with a juice dispensing machine and a coffee machine, made up the sum total. NO fruit, boiled eggs or, heaven forbid, anything but the most meagre fare... pretty ordinary... for a fairly extra ordinary price! The only really good thing was proximity to Biennale. ONE TIME ONLY…
The location was perfect! Close enough no to have to walk miles to get to all the attractions and sights, but far enough to have piece and quiet at night. Really relaxing stay, with very friendly and helpful staff. Everybody was ever so arranging! We loved our stay there and would definitely be going back and recommending this hotel to people. Loved it!
great experience. my first visit to Venice. wow from the airport to the hotel by water taxi..too good friendly people, lovely atmosphere could not have asked for a better destination. will definitely go back
Ok i will start with the good points: The location was perfect for us. Located in a lovely area of the Arsenale, just behind the main street and next door to a coop. It is near two waterbus stops, but the stroll to to St Mars is a very pleasant affair and only takes between 10 and 15 minutes depending on pace. Of the 4 rooms we had as a party, 3 were very nicely decorated and the 4th was ok. Bathrooms were clean. Check in times were good Now the bad bits (grab a cuppa this could take some time): On checking in we discovered that the twin rooms we had asked for were doubles. All knowledge of booking rooms with single beds were denied. Some of the doubles could be shifted into singles, which we did ourselves but did ask for some extra bedding. This request was also denied. Bearing in mind this was lunch time, nothing at all could be done to the following day. The follow day two extra pillows were received. That was it. So not what we asked for and not improved upon. Breakfast was ok. The usual continental affair, with cheap bits of cheese and ham. Inferior croissants and rolls. The dinning room is s definitely not big enough for everyone staying at the hotel. Do not believe you can ask for a kettle for your room. There is only one. The baggage storage area is just the front lobby, so absolutely nothing secure about that. The staff fluctuate from vaguely helpful to uninterested. If you do stay here do not, and i cannot stress this enough, do not listen the restaurant recommendations. Our experience at the nouva perla can be found in the reviews but to put it blunty, one of the chaps at the hotel owns the restaurant, i suspect he probably owns the hotel as well. We managed to get money deducted from the bill at the restaurant, including a service charge that apparently they dont charge, only to find on check out the following morning the hotel tried to charge us additional tourist tax. Now whether was a coincidence or not, i am not sure. What i do know is that we had paid this fee in our original booking fee. On production of our paperwork and pointing this out, i was told it an error by booking.com and that i still had to pay it. It took me another few minutes of arguing and a demand to see the manager before i was told to just forget. So please make sure, wherever you stay, that you know your tourist tax status. What followed over the next couple of days initially made me feel sick with worry, but i cannot see what the purpose was. I received a barrage of emails telling me our reservation had been confirmed but the tariffs for all our rooms had changed, going up by several hundred pounds in some cases. Since reporting this to booking.com (who didnt feel the need to actually respond to me) this has all stopped and notifications have been removed from my account. …
