We spent two wonderful nights at C'Della Corte and found the service warm and welcoming. The rooms were great. The location perfect and we will be going back again.

Mu husband and I spent 2 nights at Ca' della Corte in the Dorsoduro neighborhood of Venice last week and had an amazing experience. Enrica and her staff are so welcoming and made us feel at home right away. They were extremely helpful and attentive while offering us plenty of privacy to get settled into their beautiful city. The location...

Had a good stay at Ca' della Corte, it's located close to Piazza Roma, which is very convenient if you are coming from or going to the airport, as it's where you take the airport bus. It's also close to the ferry station. However, it's not very easy to find the location if you use the maps from the website...

I've never given a review on TripAdvisor before, but I enjoyed my stay at this hotel enough to write a very positive review! My boyfriend and I were looking for a quiet stay in Venice, and Ca della Corta was perfect for us. The hotel is tucked away in a beautiful little area in Dorsodruro. From one side of our...

I stayed there in the "eco-room" for Christmas 2011 with my mother (who really likes the hotel too). I have stayed before alone but the staff really pulled out all the stops, the usual lush fantastic breakfast and they will bring you an extra espresso too! The room was gorgeous and the beds very comfortable. The location is excellent -...

We just spent a night here and our friends 3 nights. Nice location, a bit off the beaten path. Our window looked out to a lovely view. Room pretty and good-sized. Bathroom small, especially shower. Breakfast lovely, served in the dining room when weather cold.

It's in the island of Venice, but slightly away from the crowds in a cool area (Dorsoduro) with nice restaurants and bars for the evening. It's 5 min walking from Scuola di San Rocco. The house is nice and the rooms are quite big: double bed, sofa, big closet, table with 4 chairs, working desk, wide bathroom. Our bed, however,...

My experience at Ca' della Corte was wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and were patient enough to give me some much needed Italian language pointers! The rooms were spacious yet cozy and very very clean. My room was at the top with the patio which had a decent view and tons of great sun. The hotel is...

This B&B has a good homely, spacious, feel. The room we stayed in had a lovely view over gardens, antique furniture, parquet floor and rugs. The bed was modern and very comfortable. In the room, you can make a cup of tea and keep food cool in the fridge. Enrica, the manager, is friendly and efficient and made us feel...

We can only praise this B&B hotel. Our room was large and so quiet and relaxing with a beautiful glass chandelier - everything was very clean. Breakfast is served in the room which we liked. When we arrived we were welcomed warmly, given all the information we needed and then left to enjoy our stay. The location was excellent -...

Staying in Santa Croce

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.
