A clean, spacy and nice room located in a old classic Venetian house. Every room is different. 5-10 min walk from the bus terminal and railway station, so no need to rag your suitcase around for long. 15 mins from Academia Bridge and lots of small restaurants everywhere. If you want to stay out of the more crowded tourist parts of the city, this is very good chioce, but you don't need to walk far if you prefer typical tourist shops.
The location is perfect. Barely a five minute walk from P Roma and less than half an hour from the Rialto Bridge, yet on such a peaceful, pretty street. The building is quaint in the good, charming way. You walk through a lovely little patio where their cute cats can usually be found lounging around, and there's a table just outside the office door with hand sanitiser and sweets. We were in a room on the ground floor, surprisingly spacious and beautifully decorated. Our sheets, towels and bins were changed every day, and when whoever did this noticed we had unknowingly brought back a corked wine bottle, they left a corkscrew for us on the table. Last but not least, the family. We spent so little time with them, and yet they left such an impression, especially Caterina. From the beginning they were amazing and accommodating; I asked for three single beds for our room and they obliged, no problem. What really took the cake (or perhaps gave the pie) was when they offered us free breakfast on my mother's 70th! And what a breakfast! Light and simple, just what we needed for the day ahead. And the room we had it in, with the chandelier and pink light coming through the window and down the stairs, gorgeous! And as if that wasn't enough, Caterina came up with a warm and fresh frutti di bosco pie, complete with seven candles! Venice was a sundae, and they were the cherry on top. If I ever get the chance to go there again, I'm not staying anywhere else!…
I had a booking for this hotel and due to illness I had to cancel the booking. The owner was so considerate and understanding. This sort of kindness is very special. I chose this hotel as it was very near Piazzale Roma where the airport bus arrives in Venice.
Delightful family-run guesthouse, the friendly welcome really made the stay special. Great location if you like to be close to the busiest areas but not too close (we really appreciated the quiet location). Definitely recommended :-)
My family (4 adults, 3 kids) stayed here for two nights following a cruise. We had three rooms, all of which were spacious, beautifully decorated, and most important - comfortable. We had everything we needed, and then some - including a view from the terrace. The staff was very helpful in getting our bags to our room and guiding us to some places off the beaten path. The continental breakfast hit all the basics, and the croissants were the best I have ever had - so good that even my gluten free mother had to have one! The owner was delightful and went above and beyond arranging for a porter to help us with our bags for a very early 4 am departure, and even met us before 4 am with cookies for the children as we were getting everything packed up to leave! Could not have asked for better service. I hope we can return to Venice soon and will certainly be a return visitor.…
We stayed here mid October. We thought it was in a great location as just a short walk from Grand Canal and away from lots of foot traffic. We had the room at top near to roof terrace, which was plenty big enough, and had everything in it we needed. It was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was continental so don’t expect a lot. Plenty of places to eat when walking around. Thoroughly enjoyed our first trip here, and will be looking to return in 2020. 👌
My husband and I have just spent 3 nights here. We arrived in the height of the floods Friday afternoon. We were stripped to the waist soaking wet .The owners were only too happy to help letting us into a room early bringing extra towels . We were able to use all facilities have a hot drink etc. They then gave us lots of valuable information. The room was spotless and well equipped. Lots of extra tea /coffee and biscuits to help yourself to. Breakfast was simple but pleasant and enough for us. On our last day it flooded again. The night before we were given information and advised to remain indoors but of course we didn't want to miss a day in Venice. Wellington boots were loaned by the guesthouse and umbrellas if you needed one . All the little things thought of and the hosts were most helpful . Shame we couldn't say that about most of the locals we asked for help along the way . Police Waterbus operators Cafe Restaurant staff.…
Our host was an amazing fellow who could talk to anyone and was very interesting. He was also very helpful about what sites to see in Venice, things to do, and how to do them authentically rather than dealing with the tourist traps, lines, and watered down activities that were more expensive. He also showed us how to get around Venice and what great food options there are. Very kind and accommodating. The room was also amazing and in the center of Venice. It was a 16th century palace that was converted into a B&B and it feels like a 16th century building with the decorations and interior designs. It was quiet and beautiful. The room and bed are very comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was amazing and delicious. We will definitely be going back to this place if we come back to Venice.…
Had an excellent stay here. Arrived quite late but luckily wasn't a problem for our hosts who were very helpful and welcoming. Had been upgraded to a very large room for three and it was incredible. High ceilings, plush furnishings, large windows and a grand piano in the room with a good size, clean bathroom. All the facilities you need in the room too. Access to the B&B is through some lovely courtyards too - it rained whilst we were there but would be perfect to sit outside in the sun. The location is excellent, such a quiet part of Venice with great places to eat, much nicer wandering around this area than the busy tourist areas. That said, sights like the Rialto bridge, Galleries D'Academia and Piazza di San Marco are within twenty minutes walk. Also under ten minutes walk from the train/bus station. Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly, with great tips of where to visit in the city! They directed us to a Banksy piece that had appeared just around the corner. Would definitely stay again if visiting Venice!…
We have just spent the week here as our base in Venice. The building is in a quiet location but is only a few minutes walk from the main transport links. It is about 20 minutes walk to St Marks Square. We found two excellent places to eat that were within a 5 minute walk. Our host, Katerina, was welcoming and informative and spoke excellent English. We received professional service without it seeming impersonal and attentive service without it being intrusive. Our room was beautiful, clean and nicely decorated. We were also provided with the use of facilities once we had checked out. Grazie Mille Katerina (and staff) for a fantastic stay.
