This room had the most beautiful view on the Bridge of Sigh. However the bed was very noisy which isn't ideal. Also we were woken at 6am on the first morning by room staff clanging dishes outside the room. Again not ideal when you've had a busy day walking.

The hotel was okay. they said it was 4 stars but I really take That as a big no . The hotel staff at the breakfast was kind. But reception desk was unfriendly. No information no welcome. I made a suggestion in the booking because we where married the day before. The never mentiont it. Overall low value for money.

Title "hotel" a misnomer No lounge dining room or bar facilities outside of ones room and an approximate 100 yard trek to a sister hotel for breakfast are more than an inconvenience Failure to have a mosquito protector in place does not inspire confidence

A beautiful room with an unbelievable view. I would highly recommend it the location of the hotel was just a few steps from St Marc square and right on the canal. The gondola's were going by all the time it was great.

Enjoyed a lovely 2 night break here. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Made our stay special with a few little extra touches which make all the difference. Definitely recommend it. Location couldn't be any more central to San Marco.

The house had no communal places for us to sit or hang out. The bugs in the house were HORRIBLE we all got eaten alive while we were sleeping. I woke up with 5 large bites on the side of my face 2 from mosquites, we were up several times in the night trying to kill them (we counted 11...

Excellent customer service and stellar view. Nestled in the corner, a little away from tourists. Near the Piazza San Marco! Wonderful cafes nearby and easy access to shopping district and short walk to the Rialto bridge.

We stayed in a junior suite for 2 nights - the room was beautiful with high ceilings, chandeliers and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. One thing we noted was that the shower didn't drain very well, and so flooded if you took a leisurely shower, which was bit alarming. Breakfast was served in the room by a very...

This hotel only has 13 rooms or so and is small but the service is exceptional. Great rooms which are larger than the usual European rooms BUT with small hotel charm. I highly recommend the hotel and will stay there again. The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating and kind.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
