I cannot recommend this amazing hotel enough. I have been impressed throughout our stay with you. The location is perfect for access to all the sights and very central. Very near a supermarket and lots of bars and restaurants (but not close enough to hear any noise!). The hotel itself is just simply perfection. Rooms are modern and spacious with...

I spent my birthday weekend at this amazing hotel with my partner and our 9 month old baby and can't say enough good things about it. Let's start with the service: Tomaso in particular was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to help us with any coordination. He was friendly, knowledgeable and genuine and always in a good...

We stayed in this charming Art Deco Hotel in Venice for two nights with a party of 9. We felt relaxed at home and really comfortable as the staff could not do more to make our stay more enjoyable. The location do the hotel was great and made our short Venice break a truly memorable one. Highly recommended.

Excellent small hotel in a quiet area about 200 yards from the Accademia & it's vaporetto stop & slightly more to the delights of The Gugenheim. Slightly glitzy decor with lots of art. Excellent breakfasts. Delightful helpful staff.

Our one-night stay in Venice was made more comfortable thanks to the front desk staff at Ca' Pisani Hotel. I think his name was Tomaso (just look for someone who resembles Jamie Oliver!) Super helpful, super friendly, overall great service. The location was ideal for us. We wanted to avoid the crazy crowds so the Dorsoduro area was perfect. The...

dear SBL1969, I read your review with much interest, and am glad you had a nice stay and you appreciated our location, breakfast and spaciousness of the room. regarding the decor, our style is Art Deco, but our rooms, even if similar, show also some differences, so - should you decide to come back, sooner or later - we could...

We have stayed in lots of good hotels over the years, and most of them we would stay in again but never have. Ca Pisani knocks spots off all of them, it was absolutely superb. We came across it by chance one night whilst wandering around the area. It was late, and quiet, yet the waitress in the bar/restaurent was so genuinely...

The staff could not be friendlier or genuinely more helpful, from arranging transportation to offering advice for excellent nearby dining. This is a lovely, well designed and comfortable hotel in a quiet part of Venice, but close to everything you need.

This hotel is a gem in the Dorsoduro area of Venice. It is conveniently located between two water taxi stops, and about a 15 minute walk to San Marcos Square. The staff was extremely helpful, giving us restaurant recommendations, upgrading our room, and helping us get performance tickets. The room we recieved was the star of the show, with a...

I didn't want to leave. This hotel is fantastic. Perfect location, very close to everything - we walked most of the city! The hotel itself is designed beautifully and is very tidy and neat. They don't overally advertise that they have a rooftop and turkish steam bath - seriously, a massive highlight. The steam bath was just perfect - they...

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
