Generaly very nice hostel, good design, clean, nice people, but I was there just to oversleep and the price was little to much for me. So if the price is ok for you, you should take this one, because this hostel looks much better than any other hostel I was in before.
In general is good, one boat stop from the plaza San Marco Rooms noisy but is a share room Toilets a lot to improve Cleaning good Good vibes from the staff The share areas were really nice Breakfast is good but could be a little better
two toilets per floor are you mental? plus this place charges for every tiny thing. It's location is very good but overall i found my stay unimpressive for such a large chain of hostels would not revisit
The location of the hostel was stunning, right along the water, boat directly outside. Very clean and nice hostel. Would defo recommend. Very safe and great atmosphere. Very reasonable prices for food and drinks. Would 100% come back.
Even a vaporetti ride away. This is an excellent location. It is a reprieve from the hustle and bustle. Lots of young people, but many of an older generation as well. Good internet, nice sitting area along the Giudecca canal and clean rooms.
I traveled alone for the first time and stayed in a hostel for the first time. Generator hostel is very good in terms of location, 24 hours transportation is possible. The hostel's kitchen and bar provide very good service in terms of service, most importantly, the employees are friendly. I would definitely recommend. Just before going to sleep in the evening, sometimes very young guests especially girls talk a bit loud and loud in the evening! I suggest you pay attention to this alone. Other than that, everything was very enjoyable. I'm probably thinking of going again.
It was 60 degrees Fahrenheit outside during the day and around 40 at night. Not hot by any means. However the rooms were dreadful. Even with the windows open it was easily 80 degrees. In addition the walls were very thin, allowing me to be woken up on multiple occasions by the screaming kids next doors. The places was clean and fairly easy to reach but the front desk staff was very unpleasant. It was fine if your looking for very cheap and only a night but I wouldn’t recommend for a lengthy stay.
Close to the vaporetto station and with great confort. The atmosphere is great and the decoration is very cozy. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are options for eating either breakfast or dinner. Loved it!
If you have a problem with your stay, such as wanting to find directions, a lockable box in the large-room dormitory or even a simple question like ”What does the breakfast contain?”, bad luck on you. Staying at a Generator is like squatting in someone's house with other strangers, and a decent cafe downstairs.
It is so funny by ending choosing hostels because we think we save money or meeting new people. But in the end we pay higher with ourselves: bad food, bad sleep, less joy. How can you have a nice experience duri g vacations if u sleep in poor conditions all nights: the room was too small, dry air, 6-7 ladies were snoring all nights like i have never heard before (i used ear plus/headphones) and still bothering a lot. This kind of noise should be asked from the reception or before making the reservation or smt. I know its not their fault, but at leas to do smt about it because it about sharing a space. Plus, not good conditions in the bathroom. Thank you and all the best!
