Staying at the Bel Sito feels like being home! The front desk staff, especially Antonio and Michele feel like friends, as do the breakfast staff. I love the cosy single rooms overlooking the church facade but have had two stayed in one of the rooms with a terrace, on the back and love the views! Perfect location, very clean, great... More

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 night stay. Venice is a wonderful place to explore and this hotel is a perfect location to do that. It was a 10 minute easy walk to our water bus. Decor is of traditional taste and everywhere is very clean, standards are high. Breakfast is excellent, something to suit all... More

Small, comfortable hotel, ideally situated for exploring Venice. Was booked as part of package with flight through BA. Only minor complaint was coffee at breakfast - not strong enough. Rooms small, but adequate for a few days. Bathrooms very small, but with good shower. Staff very helpful in booking events, restaurants etc.

Stayed at the Bel Sito recently for a long weekend. The hotel is ideally situated in a quiet location, but close to the major attractions,(also the nearest water bus stop is only a 2 minute walk). Our room was a good size, with a great view of the church façade. The staff, from cleaners to reception, breakfast service to bar... More

My friend and I stayed at a nearby apartment for three nights but enjoyed breakfast at Hotel Bel Sito every morning! They have a nice variety of breakfast options and the location is very nice. They have tables on the front street-side, indoors, and in a rear patio area (our favorite). The staff was very nice and I will return... More

The staff was professional, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of choices. The rooms (2) were clean and very comfortable. The bathrooms were modern with good products. I thought it was a very good value. The location was excellent - a point I want to emphasize. The hotel is on a small quiet piazza but not... More

Excellent choice close to piazza San Marco in Venice. Near to water taxi and easily walkable to all the most beautiful places throughout Venice. The staff (especially Michael at the front desk) were all very helpful and the room was clean and neat. Also, a good size for Europe and the free wifi is speedy and reliable. Excellent value (including... More

Great location, clean efficient rooms and a good breakfast. The bathroom had all the needed amenities though it was long and very narrow which made for awkward movement. We loved that our room had windows that opened to the piazza, we enjoyed the sound of Venice coming to life early in the morning. The wait staff are friendly and speedy.... More

We stayed for three nights in October and could not have chosen a better hotel for service and location. As previous reviewers state it is so easy to get to just take the Alilaguna Arancio line from St Marco Airport, get off at Giglio and the hotel is a two minute walk down the little passage and opposite Santa Maria... Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
